Reminder: Even if a wipe claims to be flushable, don’t flush it!
Mark Segraves@SegravesNBC4Feb 10
600,000 gallons of raw sewage poured into the Potomac River Sunday night when wipes that had been flushed down toilets clogged 2 of the pumps that had been diverting sewage away from the river. @dcwater experienced an increased flow about half time of @SuperBowl @nbcwashington

Replying to @DCDGS
@DCDGS the families at Houston ES find it interesting that you are aware that the system has a hole and is operating g at 50% capacity since December. The temperature reading are rising because of the outside temperature rising not because the unit has been remediated.

Does @MayorBowser or @dcpublicschools think this acceptable for our scholars EOTR? We think not. @nbcwashington @NBC4ITeam @CMLewisGeorgeW4 @Ward7EdCouncil #DoBetterByAllScholars

@DCDGS @MayorBowser @DCPSChancellor it’s the start of another school year and the gate to the employee lot is again not in operation. It poses a clear and present danger to both staff and students on a daily basis.

Anyone can access students at dismissal or during recess. Is our students safety EOTR up for negotiation? This is so frustrating! Fix it please!! @Eboni_RoseDC #deanwood

Yall please RT any and all posts you see of Frederick Richard. Even though Frederick scored the highest score for team USA, major news outlets are trying to erase him by saying that some other gymnast who only did one event led the team to win a medal.

Can think of no better human to ground and end our time together than the inimitable @MisterMinor “It is what we do in these difficult moments that will define us. But these difficult moments already define us. The United States of America is a nation of bystanders.” #AASL23

How is it that a school @CHHouston_ES barely five year renovated continues to have plumbing issues? Raw sewage coming up on almost the entire first floor. @DCDGS what is the holdup? With over 300 students it is a nightmare. @MayorBowser @DCPSChancellor

Today, some of the books that shaped my life—and the lives of so many others—are being challenged by people who disagree with certain ideas or perspectives. And librarians are on the front lines, fighting every day to make the widest possible range of viewpoints, opinions, and ideas available to everyone.

Well we only have a few weeks if school left. However, @DCDGS woefully behind. The parking lot gate @CHHouston_ES has been broken for months. This impacts the safety of students and staff as it provides direct access to the playground.

Why is it that schools EOTR can not get repairs done? Still waiting for faucets that were due in January and for repairs to back entrance keyless entry. @MayorBowser @VinceGrayWard7 @DCPSChancellor can we not do better by our kids and staff? #Tired
