This is my Mum. In hospital with a broken ankle -no care package for her to be released home. So they discharged her to a care home where there was no PPE and Covid present and she caught it immediately and died 10 days later alone -still haunts me. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ck1l…

Amazes me that people assume elderly people receiving a state pension wouldn’t be part of the workforce . Look at the whole picture now. State pensions are low in the Uk and almost impossible to live on especially as more older people live in private rental properties

I receive my state pension in 2031 so I am one of those affected.Yes possibly but it may also enable people to stay for longer in their homes if they receive quality care earlier and not stress about affordability. People will be working longer so this may support the economy too

Amazing then and still amazing now

Not really -I will be eligible for state pension in 2031 . Yearly inflationary rises are fine. After experiencing the system with my Mum my concern was care costs. She had a very small private pension and was stung at home care costs and left with nothing spare. It was miserable.

George gets armed police, a bodyguard, a tracker and “No Photography” signs. Harry and Meghan protect their children and get mocked. Same royal family. Very different rules. 🖤👑

Brian May all but said that
That’s a rehearsal though just a bit different from actual performance

I watched the BBC tribute programme last week and Brian May said that out of everyone who performed it felt like the same presence as Freddie particularly when he hit the higher range

Thing is buggy users load them up with all sorts of stuff making them impossible to collapse without a major operation. Maybe those parents need to travel lighter and carry baby stuff in a bag

Completely agree -I work in further education and many students arrive, especially vulnerable ones without knowledge of skills or abilities employers are seeking or basics of how to present themselves. The idea of sustained patterns of work and self reliance can be missing too.

An apt day to remember that Dolly Parton once recorded a cover of Stairway to Heaven - and, in defiance of every moral law in the universe, she absolutely owned it.

Well they should have shouldn’t they?

They called the UK racist where exactly? No they called out a family member and the tabloid press for racism and that’s about it , not the UK as a whole.
