Unpopular opinion:
Working 40+ hours a week for 40 years just to enjoy life when you’re 65 is one of the biggest scams we’ve normalized.
There’s nothing wrong with a 9–5.
But there’s something wrong with believing it’s the only way.

Just sitting here late night thinking about how insane it is that I have been able to average +$2,700 a week for the last 200 weeks trading options.
I mean let that sink in.
A regular dude with a family & a 9-5. If I can do it, anyone can!

A 0.15 delta put today might become a 0.45 delta put tomorrow.
Why?
Because delta changes as the stock moves, time passes, and volatility changes.
That’s where GAMMA comes in.
A low-delta position doesn’t guarantee low risk for the entire trade.
Always manage the position, not just the entry.
If you sold puts anytime this week, you probably saw those deltas double today with the market flush.

One of the most useful tools when selling options is DELTA.
A put with a 0.20 absolute delta is sometimes interpreted as roughly a 20% probability of expiring ITM.
Examples:
0.10 Delta = ~10%
0.20 Delta = ~20%
0.30 Delta = ~30%
0.50 Delta = ~50%
These are rough estimates, not guarantees.
Lower delta generally means less premium, but a strike farther OTM.
Risk and reward always go together.

Getting paid to buy stocks cheaper!
Sold a $SPXC $155 CSP expiring 10/16 for $81.
Current stock price: $160.49
Breakeven: $154.19
Currently down $115 on paper, but I'm not concerned.
The goal was always to own 100 shares at a discount.
Above $155? Keep the premium.
Below $155? Potentially get assigned at an effective $154.19 per share.
Paper losses don't change the original plan.

Let’s talk VEGA
Why VEGA matters when selling options:
Stock = $100
Nothing happens to the stock overnight.
Yet your option can still become significantly more expensive.
Why?
Implied volatility increased.
That’s Vega.
Option sellers aren’t only trading direction.
We’re also trading time and volatility.

One of the hardest things to learn as a premium seller is to learn how to detach from a winning trade & take the W.
What I mean by that is if you have a sold put that’s sitting at 90% profit with 2 days left on the trade…you close it out & book the win.
Sometimes we get so attached to the premium that we were paid on entry that we don’t want to pay anything to close it out.
But I can tell you from experience, so so so many times that sucker can turn against you on expiration day.
A good rule of thumb is if you wouldn’t have put that same trade on for the closing credit then you should close it out.
Take my $MU earnings play for example. I was paid $325 before earnings yesterday to agree to buy shares at $950. MU had a stellar earnings report, iv crushed, stock stayed flat & this same option opened up at 90% profit so we paid back $35 & booked the win.
Now could I have ran this to expiration & likely made an additional $35…yes. But if you asked me to put up $95,000 to make $35 bucks there’s no way I’m taking that bet. So we detach and open up capital for other plays!

The 4 option Greeks every options trader should understand:
DELTA
How much an option’s price is expected to change from a $1 move in the stock.
THETA
How much theoretical value the option loses as time passes.
VEGA
Sensitivity to changes in implied volatility.
GAMMA
How quickly Delta changes.
Understanding these changed the way I sell options.

“How far OTM should I sell my puts?”
There isn’t one magic percentage.
I look at:
• Delta
• Implied volatility
• Days to expiration
• Support levels
• Earnings/events
• Premium received
• Buying power required
Strike price alone doesn’t tell the whole story.
