$HOOD Daily: CHOP into earnings
Most likely sits near 99.50 into Oct 30, stuck between the 100 GEX put wall and the 103 call wall before the 10/27 print.
Likely range 88.70-110.40
Bull flip: daily close over 110.75 (~40% to tag), next stop 116.50
Bear flip: daily close under 92 (~68% to tag), next stop 84.25
Short zone 109-110.75. Invalidation over 113.50.
Earnings decides it.
Collected a smooth $685 in covered call premium before we start the work day.
Once you learn how to sell options, you’ll never go back.
Got assigned 100 shares of $SPCX on Friday.
Gut tells me to leave them uncovered and see what earnings brings.
Overall market sentiment makes me want a little hedge on the shares with an aggressive covered call.
What say you?
The AI trade got wrecked last week:
• CoreWeave -25.2%
• SK Hynix -24.3%
• Micron -14.6%
• Oracle -9.3%
• Nvidia -6.6%
Meanwhile Apple closed above $5T for the first time
Have the tides shift or are we back to business this week? Premarket looking ice for Ai & infra
Anyone else struggle with spending money on things you know will only get used once?
My wife spent $400 on Halloween costumes for our family.
At first, I was annoyed. $400 for one night? Felt like such a waste of money.
But then it hit me.
There will come a Halloween when our kids no longer want to dress up with us.
And that day is probably closer than I want to admit.
Someday I’d give anything to pay $400 to have these moments back.
Money comes and goes. These years don’t come back.

After a big down week, does $QQQ keep falling?
QQQ dropped $46.59 (6.18%) last week to $707.89. I checked every week since 1999 where QQQ fell 5% or more (168 times).
What happened the following week:
Down: 40% of the time
Up: 60% of the time
Median move: +0.8%
Since 2010 (60 times):
Down: 37% of the time
Median move: +1.1%
The catch is that big drops make both tails bigger:
Fell another 3%+: about 1 in 6 times (normal weeks: about 1 in 11)
Bounced 3%+: about 1 in 3 times
Recent examples:
Aug 2024: +3.7% the next week
Jul 2026: +8.4%
Feb 2025: -2.4%
Dec 2022: -2.3%
History leans toward a bounce, but not by much. Size so you can survive the 1 in 6.
For example:
$HOOD naked put idea
Sell Nov 6 $75P for ~$0.70
• Spot ~$98.55, IV rank 65%
• 0.07 delta, 19 DTE
• BP ~$748 per contract
• ~9.2% return on BP
• Breakeven $74.30, ~25% below spot
Cash-secured puts vs. naked puts.
Same option contract.
Very different capital management.
$100 strike put
$300 premium
CASH-SECURED:
$10,000 collateral
Maximum loss: $9,700
NAKED:
Much lower initial buying power requirement.
Maximum loss: Still $9,700.
Lower collateral requirements do NOT mean lower risk.
Leverage is a tool, not free money.
