Ha! Although I do honestly think that part of Kahlo’s iconic status nowadays has more to do with the popularity of cushions and coasters bearing her image than her artwork. 🙄

I felt much the same about the Kahlo exhibition at the V&A a while back - not very cohesive, although focus was not her art in that particular show. I always feel the Kahlo name is meant to wow the audience so much that there is a clamour to view but not always much ‘substance’.
