AI doesnโt make teaching less personal. It gives teachers time back for what matters most: their learners.
For Rhoda Namakau Mubita, a Biology teacher and inclusive education advocate in Zambia, adopting AI has been a continuous learning journey, one she is taking alongside her learners. It saves her time on lesson planning, so she can stay focused on the people in her classroom.
Thatโs the pathway from classroom to career in action: a teacher, the right tools, and a classroom with room for everyone.

Africa is home to the worldโs fastestโgrowing generation of young talent and a rare opportunity to shape the future of global work.
Realizing this potential will depend on whether growth translates into jobs, informal work becomes more productive and secure, young women can fully participate in labour markets, and education systems equip youth with the relevant skills they need to thrive.

Schools are only as strong as their teachers. But the latest data show shortages are widespread.
In some countries, up to 4% of teaching positions were vacant as the academic year began, leaving schools relying on non-fully qualified staff.

@teknowledgeRw and Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village (@asyv) have partnered to equip current and future generations with skills to thrive in an AI-enabled world.
The partnership launched with a two-day Executive AI Academy at ASYV on October 16โ17, bringing senior business leaders together to explore AI, leadership and organisational transformation.
The initiative aims to help executives turn AI ambitions into measurable outcomes through practical learning, peer discussions and leadership development.
The partnership will also establish the ASYV Future Skills Hub to equip young people with technology skills, confidence and real-world experience for Rwandaโs emerging digital economy.

OECD data show how much socio-economic status shapes childrenโs cognitive and emotional development.
But activities that parents do with their children still make a difference in their learning outcomes, regardless of their background.

30 years ago, Rwanda was written off as a failed state. Today it is bringing Formula 1 back to Africa for the first time since 1993. My piece on leadership that refuses to think small, and why Africans everywhere are asking: why not us?

Artificial intelligence will transform more jobs than it eliminates outright. The biggest productivity gains will come not from incorporating AI into existing workflows but from redesigning those workflows entirely. mitsloan.mit.edu/ideas-made-โฆ

AI can be a great study buddy, as long as learners and teachers stay in the driver's seat.
UNESCO's guidance on generative AI in education calls for a human-centred approach, so these tools genuinely benefit and empower teachers and learners.

President Kagame responds to those who say: "Formula 1 is too big for a small country like Rwanda."
I tell those people to take a deep breath and calm down, and wait to see what is coming.
First, we are people, like the people of other parts of the world. There is nothing, no event, nothing that is bigger than people.
So, we are a small country, but we are a people.
Formula One is big indeed, but it is not a goal just in itself. In fact, Formula One is part of the big picture of what Rwanda has to do.
We made progress as a country, as a people, but also for this particular Formula One, as a sport for Africa.
We are not looking at just Rwanda alone. We are looking at Rwanda in the context of the continent, and we have indeed ambitions to bring in other African brothers and sisters to participate.
It is Rwandan, it is African, and it is a big deal that we are very happy to be associated with.
