Imagine being told you have 3 weeks before starting your new job to find a place to live - in a city or town you've never been to before.
It's unreasonable.
It's unacceptable.
It's unfair.

More claims being made for cold water immersion on local radio. Note, the definitive science hasn't been done, the evidence is anecdotal and it is potentially dangerous. By all means do it, but understand the risks & benefits & proceed with caution. bjsm.bmj.com/content/56/23/1…

Mind-boggling advice from NICE - to use injections of sterile water for pain relief for labouring women.
One of the studies cited seriously has sterile water as its active arm &, er, salty water as placebo😳 (ref below).
*When* will my profession take women's pain seriously?
Shame on you @NICEComms. Agreeing that healthcare professionals can offer pseudoscientific pain relief to women in labour is nothing short of a scandal. Shame on you.

Nobody should lose their life due to lack of access to equipment.
That’s why we’ve committed to supplying 18,000 state-funded schools with a life-saving defibrillator.

Current water temperatures will evoke the maximum cold shock response, and can lead to swim failure in as little as 10 minutes. Please respect the water!
As we enjoy the warm weather over the next few weeks, please remember and share @RNLI advice – if you get into trouble in the water, Float To Live.
