“Together, we will defeat Ebola.”
U-Reporters in DR Congo know it all too well: Ebola outbreaks can have devastating consequences on communities.
That’s why Moise, Victorine and their young peers are taking to the streets, helping people learn how to keep their children and families safe from the disease.

Immediately after the devastating #NepalFloods, UNICEF released US$500,000 from its #GHTF to kick-start assistance. Flexible funding enables rapid action when it matters most. Thank you @SweMFA, @DutchMFA, @GermanyDiplo, @DanishMFA, @NorwayMFA and @CyprusinUN
Humanitarian workers risk their lives to save and protect children, yet they face increasing attacks by warring parties.
This #WorldHumanitarianDay, join us in demanding action from world leaders to protect workers and their vital response for children.

Glad to attend the @WorldBankGroup Fragility Forum 2026 and welcome @UNICEF colleagues. In fragile, conflict, and violence affected contexts, UNICEF’s work is essential - protecting children, delivering critical services, supporting communities, and helping build systems, resilience and opportunities for recovery. Looking forward to the discussions and partnerships ahead. #FragilityForum2026 #FCV @LelmiU – at Washington, DC

Lifeline from the sky. 📦 An EU plane with 100 tonnes of vital medical & protective supplies have landed in Bunia to reinforce frontline health workers & secure health centers against Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Together with @UNICEFDRC, we are stepping up to save lives. More flights will follow.🇪🇺🇨🇩

A powerful act of solidarity: 100+ tonnes of EU‑funded life‑saving supplies are now on their way to eastern DRC as Ebola spreads in a fragile context.

Replying to @LelmiU
@LelmiU recently visited @ZaatariCamp, which continues to be home to thousands of Syrian refugees.
She witnessed the lifesaving support UNICEF and partners are delivering to children and families, including education, water, sanitation, and hygiene and child protection services.

All of us at UNICEF are devastated and outraged by the killing of our colleague Karine Buisset in a reported drone attack in Goma, DRC.
My immediate thoughts are with the family, loved ones & colleagues across UNICEF.
Civilians, including aid workers, must never be targeted.
On Monday, I visited a school in Jericho. It once served 140 children from nearby Bedouin communities. Now classrooms are empty as families had to leave due to repeated violence. Children’s right to learn must be protected.
Safe spaces to learn - this is what children in Gaza need again!
UNICEF and partners have launched a critical Back to Learning programme so children like 13-year-old Jana don’t lose access to learning anymore.
Share this video to echo UNICEF Spokesperson @1james_elder: “Let’s get kids in Gaza back to school.”
I’m humbled by the courage and commitment of @UNICEF teams, and deeply moved by the children’s energy and resilience.
Malnutrition continues to impact children across the #GazaStrip. @UNICEF is prioritizing life-saving treatment, prevention and sustained support to restore essential services. While life-saving treatment & assistance are reaching families, more is urgently needed!

By strengthening preparedness and planning ahead, UNICEF can respond quicker when emergencies hit. But this is only possible through predictable, flexible and multi-year funding.

The gap between humanitarian needs & resources is widening at the very moment children need us most.
The ask here is simple. It’s for what any child wants. Basic decency, food & safety. Let’s work together to make the world a better place for children.👇 unicef.org/press-releases/re…
