I need to say this and perhaps many of my fellow #Halo fans feel the same way. With regards to Halo Fest, if it,s rebranded as XBOX Fan Fest, I will NOT go. I’m ONLY interested in an all exclusive HALO event. Not XBIX, where I have no interaction, outside of Halo. If it still goes on as Halo Fest, I do NOT want it to be half-assed. With less than 30 people at the studio, and rumor being none of the full#time employees there, save Pierre Hintze, I can not see how they can pull off the epic size and grand nature of what Halo Fest was supposed to be. We NEED ANSWERS! NOW! Not “soon”. NOW. Not from Halo Studios. I think we can all come to the understanding that they no longer have the human capacity to complete that mission. I can’t see Activision being up to speed fast enough to pull off a huge Halo only convention either. They are presumably just starting to build the development team. No word on an event team of this size. On good faith, I am only willing to give XBOX til the end of September to be fully transparent about what is happening with Halo Fest. Cancelled, Rebranded, whatever. If no news or lackluster news? Then I’m out. My Concert tax will be put up on eBay and my two GA tix to the event will be cancelled. No, I’m not taking offers. I’m giving it until October 1. Then I will do what I just said. I tire of all the secrecy, the haphazardness of this all, and the way XBOX has now stayed silent about this event. My heart goes out to the good people formerly of Halo Studios who worked hard to put out the best product they could. Yet, were summarily terminated anyway. It was clear years ago, leadership ruined the franchise. It’s clear that current leadership didn’t fare any better. I’m talking the highest levels of leadership, not the community team, not the IT leader for examples. I’m talking the high up management team. Let us NOT blame the everyday people who were doing their best and could not say much or they would likely have been terminated sooner. They and their families futures were and are at stake.
