While we’re in this very happening season of Indo-Pak engagements, plugging an old song of mine
“Ab hum Kia karain ge
Sadion tung jung larrain ge, Phir Kia?
Kub tuk yay khel karain ge,
Kin naslon tuk jhelain ge, Phir Kia?
Here’s to better times..

I was too hard on naseem. Saw highlights, and he had decent control, especially with his outswing. It’s when he goes for the big inswinger that he strays down the leg side. Thats a potent weapon, hope he gets that right. But all in all, naseem looking good, shaheen more problematic
That margin flatters Pakistan a bit. erratic performance. Lost wickets in clumps, bailed out by Agha, all rounders failed at finishing the job. Average start with the new ball.
Good news is they still found a way to win. This is important too, need to win from messy situations
Maybe it’ll take a Pakistan loss today for @CoachHesson to understand that you can’t go into a game without a proper attacking spin option. Abrar should always be in the team no matter what the conditions.
Naseem and Shaheen’s lack of control is quite shocking tbh. These guys have been regulars for 6+ years now.
In decent bowling condition they still haven’t found any sort of consistency.
Better teams will thrash them around
This video is such a perfect illustration of the huge difference of class between Saeed Anwar and Amir Sohail. Anwar tries an adventurous shot first ball, quickly assesses the risk and takes a single .Sohail attempts ridiculous shots the rest of the over and fails to connect

I’ve taken my son to a number of baseball practices and games over the last few years. And it’s affirmed my belief that from a viewing perspective, baseball is the worst fucking sport in the world. Absolute nonsense watching guys swing and miss at 10 pitches to just hit one
Really liked the maturity here. Takes enormous mental strength to go through everything naseem has gone through & still keep fighting. I’ve enjoyed his bowling recently, seems to be evolving into a thinking bowler. If injuries stay away this will be a big year for him.
The FTP schedule was a gift from an old incompetent adminstration to the current batch of turds running the board. Between their glorious incompetence, it is Pakistan cricket that continues to disappear into insignificance.
Don't know about Rajma Chaawal, but I had a Hyderabadi lady cook for us for a few months and my word, Daal chaawal, Idli Sambar and Dosas made right are like a warm hug. Never thought I could live without meat for long but South Indian food done right is a journey of its own.
Really want to understand if there are fans out there that like this sort of batting insanity in t20. Unless you're Bumrah, u're not surviving on these type of pitches. Maybe i'm just out of touch with modern trends but is this the type of cricket the new generation wants to see?

This is the Abu Dhabi equivalent of buying Manchester City to launder their reputation.
The Tareen fortune is built on the misery and accelerated poverty of tens of thousands of farmers if not more.
I am no one to hold Tareen at fault for the sins of his elder. But I went to the American school and I saw what illegitimately earned money did to an entire generation of elites.
If you want to limit those generational effects you need to invest back in the communities you affected. And invest so much money that you feel the pain. Like half of your fortune. Open a fintech that gives farmers loans as inputs using your money and helps them grade their crops and bring them to the right markets and do knowledge transfers to increase yield and productivity. The difference in joy is real. And it’s worth it.
Or you can spend a joyless eternity doing this performative crap.
After launching the Tareen Oxford Scholarship, people suggested funding undergrads too. So we reached out to LUMS to be make it happen.
Every year, we will fully fund six undergraduate students from South Punjab, three young women and three young men.
Investing in people is the best investment. More to come IA.

need @CoachHesson to understand that Pakistan is not NZ. We’ve only won big tournaments one way and that’s by backing specialist bowlers.Stuffing our team will all rounders doesn’t work, instead it unsettles everyone. Understand the culture u r working in. THESE GUYS NEED CLARITY
Pakistan cricket has been at its best when they trust their bowlers to complete their quota and define a clear role for them. This is who I’d play for the final t20.

Not sure in what universe it can justified that shadab and Saim are playing and guys like Sufyan and Samad are sitting out. I think Hesson will realize this once only after we’ve lost a couple of world events. But until then he’s going to keep flogging this dead horse
Ironically test cricket is the format where Pakistan can most use Harris rauf. Doesn’t have the control and the adaptability required for white ball cricket but his occasional explosiveness can definitely be handy in test cricket
