They broke into a British military base to destroy British military equipment to help Russia. Let them starve to death. Good riddance.
These are the eight prisoners taking part in what is thought to be the biggest hunger strike in UK history since Irish republicans began refusing food in 1981. Tonight it has emerged that five of them have been taken to hospital. Two haven't eaten for nearly 39 days.

First worlders living the highest standards of living known to human history: “We are not sure we want to die for a country that doesn’t do anything for us.” Third worlders whose country has never done anything for them: “I will sacrifice my life for the glory of Pakistan.”
Are Gen Z willing to die for their country? Sky's @SiobhanRobbins speaks to students protesting in Germany as they fear a return to conscription after the country's parliament agreed on a new plan to revamp military service.

I don’t say this lightly: this is the best political branding work of all time. Hats off to my man Ashwinn and team.
My agency (forge.coop) did the design for Zohran’s campaign. While I wish I played a part, it was all the masterful work of my partners, Aneesh and Phil. Having worked with these 2 for close to a decade, it’s no surprise they created what many consider (the most?) iconic political branding. I’ve seen Aneesh go deep into the archives of typography and color theory, and Phil spend hours custom-building animations to bring a UI to life. HYPED to see their work getting the credit it deserves.

The smartphone era has been an extinction level event for hobbies. So many pastimes have disappeared or are in the process of disappearing into the glowing event horizon of the screen

I have never understood why we can't just go "male and female are real categories, most people identify with the gender corresponding to their sex, and trans people are outlier edge cases who do not" Both sides refuse this obvious (to me) synthesis. I don't think MtFs (for example) are female, but I also am fine regarding them as women, provided a good-faith effort to present as such (this does not require passing)
Not gonna lie it looks like nature 100% does binaries

"Statistically, events like this are very uncommon, don't let the media trick you into thinking there's a crisis" Great, I agree, so I trust that in 2020 you were saying the same thing about police killings of unarmed black men, right? You didn't fall for the moral panic right?

The contention--which is pretty clear if you just read what I said--is that it's bogus for the WSJ to publish a hit piece without showing us the letter. I have no idea if the book exists--WSJ won't show it to us. I have no idea if the letter exists--WSJ won't show it to us. What I find absurd is the idea that Donald Trump was writing poems to Epstein, and I find it equally absurd that a major American paper would attack the President of the United States without revealing the basis for the attack. We all know what's going to happen. They're going to dribble little details out for days or weeks in an effort to assassinate the president's character. They won't show us this book or allow us to refute it until they've wrung every bit of fake news out of the story. And everyone will just move on from the fact that the WSJ is acting like a Democrat SuperPAC. It's disgraceful, and it's why the president sued.

If anything To Kill a Mockingbird is a more sanitary version of the history of racism in the South, the actual history is the stuff of utter nightmares
To Kill a Mockingbird was blood libel against the South, where Southerners are depicted as backwards and wanting to convict an innocent man. Maybe that’s why it’s required reading, because it’s not a particularly interesting or well written book. It’s mean to instill hate.

Gakpo over Diaz and Nunez any day in both positions. Been that way since the jump. We got our very own output merchant on the left. No drama just goals and salutes 🫡

Weed has a lot more downsides than we initially thought. For example, it seems to be a major (modifiable) risk factor for schizophrenia, as this study found (n=6.91 million)
