It can: • charge a different fee depending on who's trading and how much • remember things about every wallet, like when it bought and how much it holds It can take a cut of a trade. It can't pay anyone out. The companion program holds the coin's fees in a pot and spends them automatically, as instructed, every few minutes: buy back and burn, pay holders, run a jackpot. It reads what the hook remembered, so it can pay exactly who the rules say. For example, every wallet that has held for a week. Hook = the rules on every trade. Companion = what happens to the money. No dev holds the pot and no private bot runs it. It's all on chain, the rules are public, and anyone can trigger the payouts. Anyone can build a hook, and earn half the creator fee of every coin that launches with it.
