11/ So: No, we are not publishing a story.
This is how journalism is supposed to work. Hear something. Check something. Repeat steps 1 and 2 as many times as needed.
The end.

Denis Villeneuve: “I’ve done a lot of introspection, a lot of therapy, in order to go on being a good human being and maybe a better filmmaker,” said Villeneuve. “Being a father, there’s something about that that grounds you. But it’s true that Hollywood can drive you crazy. Some people lose it. I love to work there. But when I come back here, there’s something about Montreal, the creativity. Theatre, dance companies, music. Maybe it comes from the fact that there’s not a lot of money.
“It’s a very vibrant city and every time I come back I feel that and it nourishes me. I made the decision at one point to stay here and it might be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.” montrealgazette.com/news/loc…

Murray has always walked into dark places with a flashlight so the rest of us can safely follow. A beam of light that cuts through injustice and shows the way to hope. Sending prayers and gratitude to him and his family who continue to be so generous in sharing him with all of us🧡
As shared publicly on Facebook, the family of the Honourable Murray Sinclar has shared that he is unwell, that he is in serious and unstable condition. -- Asking for prayers from across NDN country, including allies, supporters, friend, and really any life he has touched, which is countless.
He has served us as lawyer, judge, Senator and Chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. A lifetime of bringing justice, truth and fairness for Indigenous peoples and those who have suffered in many capacities.
From his rulings, to his day to day wisdom he shares with us on social media, to the power Truth and Reconciliation Commission, he has given over and over again.
Let's pray hard in anyway that you do for him and his family, for this truly wondering human being - Justice, Judge, Senator - the honourable Murray Sinclair.

Compared with other countries, the recovery in the U.S. has had more — a lot more! — of the good stuff (output growth), and no more of the bad stuff (price hikes).

Fine, but my journalism is mine. And I wasn’t going to throw away months of work. So I got creative.
I just published on my own. I tell the story of the censorship & what they didn’t want me to report. Watch here:

Régis Labeaume became a different person after the Quebec Mosque attack. His points of view are always so thoughtful. Not dismissive of the majority’s concerns, but offering a much-needed nuanced and more inclusive perspective to Quebec’s public debates.
« Il y a un deuil à faire du Québec qu’on connait »
« Mais il va falloir qu’on en parle. Parce que là, on se refuse le dialogue nécessaire, pis nos dirigeants pèsent sur ces boutons sensibles de la xénophobie, sinon du racisme, ce qui est épouvantablement irresponsable. »
