Building the Capital Region with AI | Part 6:
Capital Region OS - capitalregionos.com
Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared five platforms we’re building for Florida’s Capital Region. Each serves a different need.
I believe our community (and others too!) needs digital infrastructure that makes its people, resources, and opportunities easier to connect.
Roads, airports, utilities, and broadband help our region function and grow. Digital infrastructure adds another layer, helping people discover resources, understand their options, make connections, and participate in our future.
CapitalRegionOS.com is the central hub bringing these efforts together:
• CapitalRegion.biz (capitalregion.biz) helps people find resources to start, grow, relocate, or invest in a business.
• @LaunchTally (launchtally.com) helps people discover our technology companies, talent, and entrepreneurial community.
• TLH NavCare (tlhnavcare.com) helps residents and families navigate healthcare resources.
• TLH Vision (tlhvision.com) invites people to share their priorities and ideas for our future.
• Innovation Trails (innovationtrails.com) helps us explore possibilities for connecting education, research, talent, and industry.
The common theme we are trying to build is organizing public information around what people are trying to accomplish.
That might be a student exploring careers, a parent looking for care, an entrepreneur seeking support, or an employer considering our region.
AI and @Replit have helped us move quickly from ideas to working platforms. We’ve been able to bring together local knowledge, storytelling, design, and useful functionality, then continue refining the experience.
This is an exciting example of what tools like Replit make possible: giving people who understand their communities more ability to build something useful for them.
The ongoing work matters just as much. Information needs attention. People need to contribute. Feedback needs to shape what we improve and build next. So please share!
We see Capital Region OS as a living community asset that grows alongside the region it serves.
As Chair of the @TalChamber , my ambition is for our region to help set an example other communities can learn from. We have extraordinary people and organizations here. Making their work easier to discover and connect creates more opportunities for everyone.
Explore CapitalRegionOS.com , try one of the platforms, and share it with someone who could use it.
What would make this more useful to you?

Tomorrow, Leon County commissioners take a final vote on an 18-month pause on new large data center applications while the county writes clearer rules on power, water, noise and siting.
Whatever the county decides, here's something we learned from spending time with @Danfoss Turbocor and the Center for Advanced Power Systems (CAPS) at FSU:
Florida's Capital Region is already helping lead the way, around the world, in building data centers that use less energy, less water and cleaner refrigerants.
Danfoss Turbocor, right here in @Innovation_Park, builds oil-free, magnetic-bearing compressors that cool some of the world's largest data centers with less energy and lower-carbon refrigerants. Its Tallahassee-made TGS380 powers air-cooled chillers that can keep data centers cool without the water-hungry cooling towers many facilities depend on. Tallahassee is one of only two places in the world where Turbocor compressors are made. When Danfoss opened its expanded plant here in 2024, its leadership said Turbocor was cooling hyperscale data centers for companies like @Google , @AWS, and @Meta, and that data centers had become its fastest-growing customers.
CAPS works with major data center companies on the power side. Both are solving problems the whole industry faces. caps.fsu.edu/
And just down the road, the @NationalMagLab, the largest and highest-powered magnet lab in the world, draws scientists and engineers from around the globe to Innovation Park.
So we may never host a large data center in Leon County, but we can still lead. Our engineers and researchers can build the models and templates that make data centers cleaner and more efficient around the world.

Innovation Trails - innovationtrails.com/
Big ideas become easier to discuss when people can see what you mean.
We created this digital prototype to explore what a connected innovation district could look like in Florida’s Capital Region, bringing education, research, workforce development, and private enterprise into a shared vision.
Our region has remarkable ingredients: FSU, FAMU, Tallahassee State College, Lively Technical College, the National MagLab, entrepreneurs, and established businesses.
Innovation Trails explores how those strengths could connect more intentionally around opportunities in advanced manufacturing, magnetics, artificial intelligence, healthcare technology, aerospace, and other industries.
Imagine clearer pathways from education to local careers. More opportunities for researchers to connect with businesses. Places where entrepreneurs, students, and employers can work alongside one another.
We used AI and @Replit to bring research, storytelling, and conceptual design together into a digital prototype we could share quickly.
That speed matters. It gives people something concrete to explore, question, and help improve while the ideas are still taking shape. Replit helped us move the conversation from describing possibilities to showing what we mean.
Innovation Trails is an early concept for community discussion. Moving any part of it forward would require careful work on feasibility, sites, infrastructure, environmental considerations, funding, and employer demand.
I think the value starts with asking thoughtful questions and inviting more people into the conversation. What could we build on the strengths we already have? What would create lasting opportunities for our children? How can growth support the quality of life we value?
This is another piece of our Capital Region Operating System, using technology to help people understand our assets and explore our possibilities.
Visit InnovationTrails.com and share your perspective.
Which opportunity would you like to see our region explore further? Looking forward to your thoughts...

Tallahassee and the Capital Region have an incredible story to tell. It’s time we tell it to the world.
I appreciate @chris_teale and @routefifty for highlighting the work we are doing at the @talchamber to modernize how we showcase our region, connect businesses with opportunities, and compete for economic development.
We have a lot to be proud of. World-class universities, groundbreaking research, a growing technology and innovation ecosystem, talented people, and businesses doing amazing things every day.
We have to be intentional about promoting them, connecting them, and turning our potential into real economic opportunity.
This is the main reason we have been building what I call a digital operating system (capitalregionos.com/) for the Capital Region, bringing together initiatives like Capital Region biz, TLH NavCare, TLH Vision, LaunchTally, and Innovation Trails.
The platform is powered by @thisisruvos and built with @replit, which is also a great example of how we can use modern technology and AI-enabled development tools to move faster, experiment, and build solutions for our own community.
These tools are designed to make our region more accessible to entrepreneurs, businesses, investors, and residents while helping us tell a more unified story about who we are and where we are going.
I strongly believe the private sector has a responsibility to lead. Government is an essential partner, and we accomplish more when we work together. We also have to be willing to create opportunities, test new ideas, and move with urgency.
I am very proud of the Chamber team, our partners, the Ruvos team, and everyone who continues to invest their time and energy into moving our region forward. This is a collective effort, and we are just getting started.
Need to continue to make it easier for people to choose Tallahassee, for businesses to grow here, and for our own community to believe in what we can accomplish together.

Building the Capital Region with AI | Part 3:
TLH NavCare - tlhnavcare.com
When someone in your family needs care, knowing where to begin matters...
A parent looking for a pediatrician. A student navigating healthcare away from home. Someone helping an aging family member. A new resident trying to understand the options nearby. We have all experienced some of this.
Those everyday needs are why we built TLH NavCare.
It’s a free community resource that brings healthcare information together to help residents and visitors navigate care across Florida’s Capital Region.
Through the site, you can:
• Explore primary care, pediatrics, mental health, urgent care, and other services.
• Find healthcare locations on an interactive map.
• Discover resources for care without insurance and explore coverage options.
• Learn about the region’s healthcare ecosystem, including its connections to education, workforce, research, and innovation.
We used AI and @Replit to help bring this vision to life quickly, combining public information, clear navigation, thoughtful design, and regional storytelling into a working platform we can continue improving.
That ability to build and improve is exciting. We can listen to a family, a provider, or a community organization and use that feedback to make the resource more useful.
Healthcare is also central to how I think about our region’s future. It supports our families, creates career opportunities, and connects the work of our hospitals, universities, researchers, and businesses. Making that ecosystem easier to understand is part of the story we’re telling.
TLH NavCare is another piece of our Capital Region Operating System, with technology serving a practical purpose in people’s everyday lives.
Explore TLHNavCare.com. Use it as a starting point, then connect directly with providers to confirm services and availability. And please provide feedback as it is a "live" site.
Help us make this community resource better.

TLH Vision - tlhvision.com
Our community’s future should reflect the people who call it home.
The parent thinking about opportunities for their children. The student deciding whether to stay after graduation. The entrepreneur building a business. The longtime resident who wants us to grow while preserving what makes this place special.
Each brings a perspective we need to hear.
That’s why we created TLH Vision.
It gives people across Tallahassee and the Capital Region a place to share what they want our community to become. You can write your own vision or choose words and priorities to help express what matters most to you.
As more people contribute, we can begin to see the themes that connect us, understand different perspectives, and identify opportunities to work together.
We used AI and @Replit to help turn this idea into a working platform quickly. We brought together storytelling, a simple way to participate, and tools for organizing community input into something people can explore and contribute to.
What excites me is how accessible this kind of building has become. Tools like Replit allow community leaders to put an idea into people’s hands, invite feedback, and keep improving the experience.
As Chair of the @TalChamber, I believe we have a responsibility to convene, listen, and help connect ideas with people who can move them forward. TLH Vision gives us another way to do that.
It’s part of our Capital Region Operating System, and its value will grow through the people who participate.
My hope is that the ideas shared here help shape meaningful conversations, stronger partnerships, and action around priorities we hold in common.
Visit TLHVision.com, share your vision, and invite someone whose perspective we should hear.
What would you love to see become possible here?

Building the Capital Region with AI | Part 2: @LaunchTally
The next customer, collaborator, or career opportunity could be right here in our own backyard. We need to make it easier for people to find one another.
That’s one of the reasons I’m excited about LaunchTally and the new version we rolled out this year.
Following my last post about CapitalRegion.biz, I want to share another piece of the digital infrastructure we’re building for Florida’s Capital Region.
LaunchTally brings our technology community into view: startups, established companies, universities, entrepreneurs, and the organizations helping them grow.
A student exploring a technology career should be able to discover companies right here at home. A founder should be able to find support and potential collaborators. An employer or investor considering our region should be able to understand the talent and innovation already here.
Through LaunchTally, we’re combining regional storytelling, an ecosystem map, and connections to resources to help people explore those possibilities.
AI and @replit have helped us bring this vision into a working digital experience quickly, with the flexibility to keep improving it. We can take an idea, build something people can use, learn from their feedback, and continue making it better.
LaunchTally also builds on years of work by local leaders, companies, educators, and community partners. Their efforts give us a story worth telling. These tools help us share it more effectively. And I am super excited how people are engaged.
This is what excites me about using AI at the community level...helping more people discover where they fit, who they can work with, and what they can build here.
Explore LaunchTally.com and tell us about a local technology company or innovator more people should know.

We have an incredible story to tell in Florida’s Capital Region. We’re using AI to help tell it and make it easier for people to act on it.
That’s the thinking behind CapitalRegion.biz, our Capital Region Business Concierge.
When you’re starting a business, expanding, or considering a new location, you need connections to talent, capital, sites, research, business support, and people who can help you take the next step. We wanted to make those resources easier to find and understand.
We brought together storytelling, regional knowledge, thoughtful design, and practical tools, including an AI concierge, guided business navigation, and industry playbooks. Visitors can explore what makes our region special while finding resources relevant to what they’re trying to build.
And we built it fairly quickly, thanks to the capabilities of @replit.
Replit helped shorten the distance between having an idea and putting a working platform in people’s hands. That gives us more room to listen, improve, and keep building as our community’s needs evolve. And it was fun!
As Chair of the @TalChamber, I see tremendous potential for this approach. Chambers and communities across the country have valuable resources and stories to share. Tools like Replit can help turn them into useful digital infrastructure.
This is one part of what we’re building through the Capital Region Operating System (capitalregionos.com/), with more to share.
Explore CapitalRegion.biz and tell me: What would help you take your next step in our region?

Twenty years from now (or sooner), I think we’ll look at digital infrastructure the way we look at physical infrastructure today. The communities that intentionally build it will have an economic advantage. We’re trying to figure out what that looks like right now in Florida’s Capital Region.
