The species name milnei honors author A.A. Milne, creator of the children’s Winnie-the-Pooh character & story of “Pooh sticks” due to the stick-like nature of some of the Moroccan coprolites.
#2024SVP - Bruce Lauer, Rene' Lauer presented a poster on two new coprolite ichnogenera Struocopros catapitostromata and Alococopros milnei. Publications - Chris Duffin and David Ward, (2023, 2024) Natural History Museum, London housed in the @LauerFoundation collection. 1/2
More from #2024SVP - @VTechmeetsPaleo’s students Isaac Pugh and Mark Nohomovich gave a presentation and poster on the @LauerFoundation’s Homestead at Garita Site. Their research of adds important new data of the Triassic microvertebrate fossils of NM.
@LauerFoundation was happy to celebrate with Andy Heckert @app_earth_sci present and alumni students at #2024SVP. Their research of our Homestead Triassic microfossil site is adding important new data & publications about east central New Mexico fossils. 1/3
