private eth payments r not new but this fella @z0r0zzz made a page that lives inside an eth contract so there is no website to take it down. fella made it in a weekend
it has 0 fees + 24/7 forever on
i like it so i wrote this 🧵👇
→ what anon.wei is
→ how it works
→ what stays public
→ TAC points
→ security
▫️ what it is
anon.wei is an app for sending ETH privately (nothing new, i know), but we should keep promoting this.
it uses Tacit, a crypto protocol for private payments & defi, on eth, base & rh chain
@z0r0zzz previously worked at sushiswap, consensys/openLaw & hunton AK (from his github)
▫️ how it works
deposit ETH, then pay someone from your private balance or withdraw some back to a wallet.
your browser makes a zk proof. it proves the payment follows the rules w/o showing who paid, who received it or how much
the app page is stored in Ethereum contracts, but it still runs in your browser. the proposed ERC-8244 standard behind this is still a draft
▫️ what stays public
- deposits show the sender & amount
- private payments hide the sender, recipient & amount
- withdrawals show the receiving wallet & amount
matching amounts & timing can still link a withdrawal to a deposit, especially when the pool is small so don't forget that
▫️ TAC points
deposits into anon.wei's pool earn 1,000 points per ETH. deposits into Tacit's separate confidential pool earn 1,250. bonuses can increase either amount.
the program allocates 100,000 TAC through december 21, 2026, based on daily points
so you can get something back from this on top of the privacy
▫️ security
what you need to know about this pool:
this pool has no owner, pause button or upgrade switch. changes require a new pool, which users enter by moving their funds
tacit has published security reviews, but they cover the wider system and were done by AI, none of them is a human audit of this payment pool.
signing in creates the key that controls your shielded funds. Sign that login only on the real site. Anyone who gets a copy of the signature can move the money.

I spent the past few days in Washington with @hyperliquidpc meeting with policymakers during the historic advancement of the Clarity Act. We discussed Hyperliquid, the benefits that it offers to American consumers, and the regulatory path to bring onchain derivatives markets into the United States.
Some conversations were technical with an impressive baseline understanding of Hyperliquid. Discussions included how onchain trading is a financial innovation that has clear global user demand. Other conversations focused more on a first principles introduction to defi and the promise of onchain markets. It was encouraging to see bipartisan support for thoughtful regulation of crypto. I look forward to continuing discussions in DC and working hard to make American access to Hyperliquid a reality.

If we take the ChainLink Reserve update, the buyback amount won't increase for almost a year. Why is that? Where are all these partnerships and new products that were added? LINK? Could someone please answer me? There were a lot of products and partnerships.
$LINK
@chainlink @ChainLinkGod @arcamids @ChrisBarrett @LinkBoi777 @ARiHBARi
I really believe in it and hold a lot of LINK, but honestly, someone needs to bring this up for discussion, there's a lot of weird stuff going on in the token.
#chainlink
$LINK RESERVE UPDATE
Today, the Chainlink Reserve accumulated 100,908.77 LINK.
Total holdings: 3,655,298.82 LINK.

Earlier today, a user attempted to buy AAVE using $50M USDT through the Aave interface.
Given the unusually large size of the single order, the Aave interface, like most trading interfaces, warned the user about extraordinary slippage and required confirmation via a checkbox. The user confirmed the warning on their mobile device and proceeded with the swap, accepting the high slippage, which ultimately resulted in receiving only 324 AAVE in return.
The transaction could not be moved forward without the user explicitly accepting the risk through the confirmation checkbox.
The CoW Swap routers functioned as intended, and the integration followed standard industry practices. However, while the user was able to proceed with the swap, the final outcome was clearly far from optimal.
Events like this do occur in DeFi, but the scale of this transaction was significantly larger than what is typically seen in the space.
We sympathize with the user and will try to make a contact with the user and we will return $600K in fees collected from the transaction.
The key takeaway is that while DeFi should remain open and permissionless, allowing users to perform transactions freely, there are additional guardrails the industry can build to better protect users. Our team will be investigating ways to improve these safeguards going forward.

Replying to @Plasma
@PlasmaFDN These are the kinds of numbers you'd be looking at if you had aped in $10K during the 3-month ICO — based on %APR.
That said, the ICO might end up shorter than 3 months, which could push the APR even higher.
I’m personally expecting Plasma to hit a $4–5B FDV, but honestly, wouldn’t be too surprised to see it stretch to $10B
There will be no further increases to the deposit cap. Total deposits are now limited to $1 billion.
The goals of the deposit period were clear: enable broad, global participation through a fair process prioritizing real users over bots, and bootstrap day-one stablecoin liquidity for Plasma mainnet beta. We’ve achieved both.
With deposits now closed, the system remains live. You can still withdraw at any time before the lock-up phase, but note that withdrawing or transferring your receipt token will reduce your units.
We’re deeply grateful for your trust and participation. This is only the beginning.
