A concern in leadership today has to do with pacing. Many models we elevate are not sustainable for the long haul. This is one reason why we see pastors, church leaders and missionaries burn out.. It is a marathon, not a sprint. Most of us has only learned the sprint.

Going to start sharing some of the things I learned during my recent visit to Cameroon. I don’t have space in this season of life to pursue doctoral studies, but I think the African church will be a fine teacher instead.

When is the ideal time to start talking with your church about missions and sending? I believe it is at the very beginning. Loved being able to talk with a core group of a church plant about missions from day one.
