Languages Cat's French Animal Idiom Of The Day: avoir des yeux de merlan frit: to have eyes like a fried whiting (fish) = to gawk / be wide-eyed. Used to convey a negative meaning, describing someone with an idiotic or gawking expression, or maybe someone hungover or ill.

Le saint patron du Pays de Galles est Saint David. La ville de St. David's est la plus petite des grandes villes du Royaume-Uni. C’est le dernier lieu de repos de Saint David qui est le seul saint patron au Royaume-Uni à venir du comté dont il est originaire.
