It’s called ‘safety of pedestrians, especially those with reduced mobility & disabilities’ - which appears to have fallen so far down the agenda of Councils, govt, @SadiqKhan & @willnorman that it’s fallen off
Can't say I miss using the Percy street filter more regularly, good to see nothing has changed 🤦 still blocked by cars. The bridge to Bellahouston academy still closed, diversion onto the bridge that takes you onto Beech Ave still signed, seems to have been this way forever 🤔

Progress on Dumbreck rd link to St Andrews Drive is almost completed. Still the cycling specific lights to be activated at the junctions and a few bollards etc to be installed. The pavement looks like a great improvement to the shared path that was here👍 cyclable with care at🚦
How long has this sign been up? Cyclist please slow down with a mandatory no cycling sign above🤯. At the junction of the East Renfrewshire Golf Club. It's an intresting junction we have a give priority to crossing traffic and a stop line for exiting vehicles🤔 (a shared path🤔)
Added to the places you can't take your bike, the park👀 after years of hearing take your bike to the park, I'd probably be fine but don't be brown in the park or you might be asked to leave. 🤦 It's amazing these guy film this themselves as if it's perfectly normal.

This bridge over the motorway was resurfaced some time ago, I've not used it in along time. I was heading from Govan to Nielson, to get onto Kingston Rd not journey I make often. Seems odd the surface is better but you can feel the undulations from the old pot holes. 🙄
It is an improvement but I wounder how long it will take any standing water to start damaging it over the coming winters. It was pretty bad begore👇

@MyGlasgowCC is there any planned resurfacing on this bridge/shared path?, the surface has degraded. It's one of the few traffic free walking, cycling and wheeling paths this will prevent some from using it and is a risk to all users.

Part of the descent from today, gps says I reached 33mph on the down hill, it was so quiet and not many overtakes I'd have guessed my top speed was slower than that as I was being cautious in the rain, this would be an intresting one in the dry. Perhaps next year.
Kingston Rd going up hill, just looking on the map this is a road I'd not have taken myself. Gps app thought this was a good alternative route after the Renfrew bridge was closed for a bit of the afternoon. Actually it was uneventful and the few cars that passed, passed wide.
Thankfully if you want to know what that bridge looked like the shorter one just before it is nicely deteriorated (not quiet as bad as the longer bridge was, but getting there) not sure if this one was included in the resurfacing, I guessing not.
