Fresh grad. It’s in stages, your finances get better. As long as you’re intentional about your growth and not sitting on your hands, things will get better
You’ll be able to afford it in due time, I promise

I love love. I talk about it a lot. I love celebrating love. So when it comes to planning gifting items for intending couples, I am active like mad.
After doing it over and over again, I said I can still do more!
Glad to introduce The Couple's Fave to you

Disaster does not understand Yorùbá, Igbo or Hausa. When the tsunami of bad governance comes knocking, it will swallow you and I, young and old, innocent and guilty, regardless of our supposed differences or ethnic affiliations. May our eyes be opened someday.
Lagos. This is Our Sister, A Yoruba Mother.💔
The Effects of Bad Government doesn't Discriminate between Tribe and Religion, It affects us all
Please do not be distracted by Tribal and Religious sentiments

Mary Oliver’s When I Am Among the Trees is a quiet reminder to slow down and listen to what nature teaches us. The trees become a source of comfort, wisdom, light, and renewal. Their simple message is to go easy, stay present, and allow ourselves to be filled with light.
Sometimes, we do not need to search far for peace. We only need to pause, look around, and listen.

The pathos through juxtaposition, that this particular video is.
I will forever be glad that I was able to touch on the 2025 Oworo demolition with this work. I am yet to see enough works that speak to this horror, and I fear that without enough works documenting real events like this, the politics of time and propaganda may distort the narrative in a few years.
I have witnessed the horror of displacement at some point in my life, and even then, I cannot imagine what it was like for the people of Oworo who lived through this demolition. I cannot imagine what it was like for the children who lost the whimsy of their immediate world and watched everything they had grown to know reduced to rubble. I cannot contain the entire story of Oworo in a picture book like this, nor even in a novel. But I hope, at the very least, that a child from Oworo, or anywhere else in the world, will read this and understand that they are not alone in the horror of displacement, and that children like them are ably represented in stories and are not minor characters in the script of the world.
I hope children who have never experienced displacement will encounter this book and learn that it is the reality of some children, some people, not so far away. I hope they know for a fact that displacement is real, and that displacement is evil. I hope an adult will encounter this work and be drawn into digging up the story of the unjust demolition in Oworo in 2025. And I hope this work does not exist in isolation, but leads more creatives to make more honest work on this subject.
A writer is first a witness, and I am a witness. Before the pen, there is the seeing: eyes that refuse to look away, and a memory that refuses to let the ground be forgotten. I am a writer because I witnessed, and I will keep writing so that what was witnessed is never rewritten. All of my heart remains with the people of Oworo, now and always.
Grateful to the brilliant @MclaniyiS for gifting me this mise en abyme in the form of a video. Thank you for being a witness too.

I’m extremely disappointed in us as Nigerian youths. Extremely.
I woke up this morning to get ready for work without electricity and without water. The last time we had power in my area was Saturday morning. This is Abule Ijesha, Lagos.
I work a 9–5. I earn a substantial amount every month, and yet I’m still dealing with something as basic as the lack of electricity and water.
And meanwhile, young people on Twitter are still allowing tribal sentiments and religious affiliations to divide us in 2026.
Do you people not understand how limited you are compared to young people in developed countries? Do you not understand that if anything happens right now, the politicians who are the most privileged among us have the means to leave this country while the rest of us remain here to deal with the consequences?
Do you genuinely think the elites care about the tribal and religious divisions they use to keep us fighting each other?
Your Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources in Lagos can be online flaunting a Patek Philippe while young people are struggling with basic infrastructure. And this is just a Commissioner.
They know exactly what they’re doing. They know that as long as we’re distracted by tribe, religion, sex, politics and whatever other silly division they can exploit, we won’t look up and ask the people actually responsible for our living conditions the difficult questions.
This is disgusting.
And honestly, we should be ashamed of ourselves.
Not because we are powerless, but because we have failed woefully to recognize where our collective interests lie.
We keep fighting each other while the people benefiting from this dysfunction continue to live above the consequences of it.
We need to do better.
