Life is sustained by thousands of different self-assembled nanomachines. How were these systems created, programmed, and fine-tuned to support life? See our latest paper in @angew_chem, which may also inspired the design of new nanotechnologies: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/… (1/3)
Briefly, using simple DNA-based models, we illustrate how molecular assemblies may have evolved to create complex self-regulating functions ranging from improved cooperativity to self-inhibition while demonstrating the thermodynamic framework to create such nanosystems. (2/3)
Congrats @DomLauz and thanks to the funding agencies: @NSERC_CRSNG, @FRQ_NT, @ProteoQuebec, @NSERC_PROMOTE, @TIPS_SPIIE #CRC (3/3)
Félicitation à @DomLauz et merci aux organismes subventionnaires: @NSERC_CRSNG, @FRQ_NT, @ProteoQuebec, @NSERC_PROMOTE et @TIPS_SPIIE #CRC. (3/3)

Which molecular language should you use to program your favorite chemical, biochemical or nanotechnological systems? See our latest comparative study of two molecular languages at the origin of life published in @J_A_C_S. nouvelles.umontreal.ca/en/ar… #nanotechnology #DNA (1/3)
Quick summary: We have programmed a DNA-based nanosystem using two different chemical languages: allostery and multivalency (system inspired from Plaxco & @RicciLab). See how the different languages affect the programmability of molecular systems. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/jac… (2/3)
