Recent work from our group:
Role of diffusion and reaction of the constituents in spreading of histone modification marks
biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
What is the role of diffusion of enzymes/other constituents in the spreading of histone modifications? We simulated a model with diffusion and reaction of reader/writer enzymes to explain the spreading of histone modifications. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… (1/5)

Our work is out in @NatureComms. Read the paper if you want a quantitative description of chromatin polymer or plan to simulate chromatin. We answer some fundamental questions. Details below. @sangramjkadam @KiranKumari_ @vinoth46m @DuttaShuvadip @mithunmittir (1/10)
Exciting work from our lab in @PLOSCompBiol on histone modification inheritance, post replication.
With collaboration with Prof.Sibiraj Pillai from the electrical department IIT Bombay. Congratulations @nitkal and @ranjithpa.
Our work, modeling the high fidelity inheritance of histone modifications post replication, using ideas from information theory, is published in PLOS computational biology. journals.plos.org/ploscompbi… @ranjithpa

Interesting work from our lab alumnus @AdityaRanganat4 on RNA-binding protein condensates and emergence of fibrillar structures using coarse-grained simulations.
biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
RNA-binding protein condensates exhibit a physical phenomenon called aging which results in a loss of dynamicity. We use coarse-grained simulations to show that droplets can access several structural states with distinct intra-condensate environments.

Congratulations to our former lab colleague Jyotsana for being part of this interesting work. @Jewelparmar @NCBStheory
Delighted to share the preprint of our collaborative work with @Afroze_AC @dnarepairlab at Simon's center @NCBStheory. Chech out the preprint showing the role of SMC protein RecN in the repair process during dsDNA breaks in bacteria.
Congratulations!!
We are happy for our lab alumna Jyotsana Parmar for receiving the DST Inspire faculty fellowship. @Jewelparmar @IndiaDST @ranjithpa
