What an exciting way to start a Monday at BSI, come and join the session on Metabolic programming of immune responses co-chaired by the fantastic @LindaVSinclair #bsi2021 #BSI21 @bsicongress @BSI_immunomet
4/4 We reveal shared and unique processes in T cells which are regulated by ERK, mTORC1 and MYC, providing new insights into TCR mediated signalling pathways.
3/4 T cells with ERK activity blocked can still blast and produce machinery for core cell functions, but fail to differentiate into effector cells.
2/4 Using proteomics we reveal that the MAP Kinase ERK regulates a small fraction of the T cell proteome but is critical for the expression of transcription factors, cytokines and cytokine receptors essential for T cell differentiation.
