I've been very disconnected since EWC, so I just wanted to finally announce something that I've been working hard on for a while. After MW2 Champs, I was approached by Idaho State University (In my hometown) and hired to coach and build an Esports program from the ground up. So for the past year, I've been in charge of selecting equipment for the facility (around $150,000), conducting interviews/selecting teams, league signups, etc. I have a great team with my broadcast coordinator Daniel (@stormraige23) and student intern Emory (@Ejrl513) and it's been a great experience so far. I've been at the facility around 40 hours a week post-EWC, since our season started right at the end of August. We are competing in the @NACEsports Varsity league (will be adding more soon), where all other teams are different schools that also have to play out of their school's facility, so we aren't just playing pros that are remote. For this first Fall 2024 semester, we have a total of 20 players across our 3 teams (150+ more applicants), and getting to work with all of my players in person is incredible. We are competing in Rocket League, Valorant, and Overwatch 2, and there are plans for expansion by Spring. I've been avidly learning all 3 games at once, and I've been loving the process. There is a definite learning curve, but I'm super grateful to have this job at home. I've been grinding with my head down for 8 years in Challengers total as a player and coach. I committed to this path a long time ago, and finally have a real career in Esports 🥂 I appreciate any support on our social medias; I really want to make this thing grow. I appreciate everyone that I've gotten to work with along the way, and to those that have given me their effort to push me further. Cheers to the future 🥂@IdahoStEsports
