Great. But to be clear @NIH @NIAIDNews @NIHDirector turned their collective backs on this globally important resource and now we are left to pick up the pieces by holding bake sales / car washes to keep it live. The precarity of this critical resource is still huge.
Welcome back! VEuPathDB resources are back online today! We will continue to provide bioinformatics services under a new organizational structure. Read more here: veupathdb.org/veupathdb/app/…

PhD students from IRSS in Burkina Faso have worked with @LSTMnews vector biologists to generate a transgenic mosquito. The partnership, funded by the @gatesfoundation, is designed to build capacity in molecular biology and genetic control of mosquitoes in Burkina Faso.

I was almost a week premature when I announced this previously and the link was broken. It's open now doi.org/10.1098/rsos.231165 "Video-tracked Anopheles arabiensis entry and exit behaviour at washed and damaged pyrethroid- treated bednets". I hope you find it useful

Rejoining EU Horizon is only half the job done. Now please stop asking EU-area scientists for visas, leave to remain applications, NHS surcharges, ATAS clearances, etc. Its a bigger barrier to research progress and is a huge waste of everyone’s time.
