Genetic Vector Control and #genedrive. Links to interesting bio lit, retro football clips, old soul/disco links, memes...are why I'm here. But mostly memes.

Some genius in doing this, and dedication to the end. Can you guess where I am? Clue: I think the hand gesture might be deliberate.

Very proud of how well this is going. I should add, most of this would not have happened without @pamcafrica 🤝
PhD students from IRSS in Burkina Faso have worked with @LSTMnews vector biologists to generate a transgenic mosquito. The partnership, funded by the @gatesfoundation, is designed to build capacity in molecular biology and genetic control of mosquitoes in Burkina Faso.

Showing my age, but I was at this game. No one really commented at the time that it was that rough!
33 years ago today, England faced Argentina in one of the most bad-tempered friendlies ever seen at Wembley. Here’s a selection of fouls from the feisty match, which somehow only produced one yellow card. There was no love lost between these two nations.
