By analyzing smartphone based experience sampling data collected from participants across the adult lifespan, we did not find too much evidence of age-related increases in prosociality and well-being (contrary to what is often times assumed in the current literature).

But small age effects were found for the daily experience of empathy, with increasing empathy across the adult lifespan, showing a peak in midlife!
