Spoke to Mike Breen on campus at Fordham recently. I asked him where the “Life isn’t perfect but there are perfect moments” quote came from.
Said he saw it on a napkin at store.
Wrote it down. Kept it for the perfect moment.

Sean Durzi on #NYR motivation to remain undefeated at home:
"It’s our fans. It’s an exciting time. We heard what was going on tomorrow night [at the Knicks' championship banner raising ceremony], so it’s nice to give back-to-back good nights at MSG. They’ve been great. Being here, the welcome, the support that I've gotten, has been incredible. Makes it a little more special to give them a nice show on home ice.”

Will Cuylle threw a big open ice hit on Declan Chisholm, then dropped the gloves immediately with Johnathan Kovacevic.
#NYR were fired up from that one.

I reiterated J.T. Miller’s comments about the #NYR style of play to Mike Sullivan and how sometimes it could be seen as boring, but in a good way.
At the end of his response, we had a good laugh:
“J.T. has a way with words.” 😂

Sean Durzi talks about the Rangers at home:
"I'm new to MSG, but it's been awesome. I think playing for that pride of wearing this badge and for our fans and giving some people pretty good nights at MSG makes it exciting for us"

I love that @MSGNetworks is doing these postgame PA interviews with the players.
It's so great for the players to share their love and appreciation for the crowd directly with them.
Really cool thing to see added this season

"I'm excited for the opportunity. Gonna put my heart and soul on the line for these guys and this city every night, and just try to help the team win."

The last two seasons were absolutely miserable and these first few games felt so different. I was actually looking forward to watching them every night rather than watching out of a sense of obligation. This sucks so much.

Garand called Shesterkin "our best player" and echoed the sentiments about feeling for him. How does he feel about the opportunity in front of him now?
"Very ready. I think I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder for how my past has been. I'm really excited for this opportunity to go battle for the guys. I feel ready, for sure."

Some other moving parts for #NYR roster:
- Joe Veleno is going to be out for at least 3 months with his lower-body injury, so he’s heading to LTIR
- Spencer Martin has been cleared from his injury and is expected to be recalled as the No. 2 goalie
- Cole Beaudoin is being sent back to AHL Hartford and Juuso Pärssinen is being recalled

J.T. Miller was asked about how the Rangers can make sure Igor Shesterkin's injury doesn't take the wind out of their sails after a solid start:
"We're not going to let that take the wind out of our sails. We still competed our asses off today. It was a really hard-fought game."
