This is how dictators destroy free nations. They threaten those who speak against them with death. We cannot entrust our country and our freedom to a petty, vindictive, cruel, unstable man who wants to be a tyrant. #Womenwillnotbesilenced #VoteKamala
Trump on Liz Cheney: "Let's put her with a rifle standing there with 9 barrels shooting at her. Let's see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face."

Completed my first triathlon on Monday (sprint distance) in Winchester. Enormous fun and very well organised by @ReesLeisure. The great thing about doing your first is that you are guaranteed a PB 😉. I was very slow...

Completed my first full marathon of the year on Sunday, the ABP Southampton Marathon. Brilliantly organised by @ReesLeisure. Managed to take another chunk out of my PB. The picture below is crossing St Mary's Stadium as part of the route (@SouthamptonFC).

What a brilliant depiction of the corrosive (literally, in this metaphor) impact of self-limiting beliefs. Thank you.

Stop halfway resting and halfway working. We spend too much time in this in-between zone of kind of doing work, but not doing actual deep work. Work deeply. Rest deeply. Get out of the middle zone.

My first 'official' run of 2023, the Jurassic Express Half Marathon in Dorset yesterday. Brilliantly organised by @ukrunningevents. Fantastic scenery along the cliffs and hills of Purbeck (over 500m of ascent) . The event even included a trip on a heritage steam railway. Perfect.

Enjoyed a stimulating afternoon co-leading a Challenge Workshop on Sustainability Leadership in HE for @AdvanceHE Senior Strategic Leadership Programme at @warwickuni with @patrick_7780, hosted by Jean Chandler and @LEAD_Doug, with some great, thoughtful participants.
The wonderful Jean Chandler introducing our leadership challenge workshop on Sustainability in HE (the future cannot wait!), a key element of the @AdvanceHE Preparing for Senior Strategic Leadership course. With @MarkOrmerod4, Liz Price & @patrick_7780 as our amazing provicateurs

Based on a powerful simulation, the learning on this @AdvanceHE programme is genuinely transformational. If you want to reflect on your leadership, practice new skills and take it to the next level, then look no further.
Starting 14 March 2023, the Leading Departments programme takes a practical hands-on approach to learning new skills and behaviours necessary for successful department or school leadership. #Leadership Find out more: bit.ly/3HGEsoB
