For all the chatter about us having no decent forwards, I can’t remember a better performance from TWO of our strikers for a long, long time. Lee Grant’s football certainly gets you off your seat. Hats off to the recruitment team. Crew and Moore just as good as the two up top.

Might be a little bit of shenanigans but our style of play the one touch passes, players driving with the ball & recruitment is very Dean Smith like. No comparison as it’s the thief of joy but the similarities are there and the recruitment. It’s actually nice to watch Walsall now

A trend worth watching in League Two is that Walsall simply refuse to lose. Eight league games, still unbeaten, with just five goals conceded. Even when they were heading for defeat at Tranmere, they found a late equaliser. Not always spectacular, but organised, resilient and incredibly difficult to put away.
