A big project to get over the finish line - but it was the hard work of staff who created content and reviewed these sites which made it all possible. Next up the FMAT website, website training for staff and our social media sites.... phew!

Great to have @GHRWestMids pop into @BournvilleSch to interview our Head Boy and Head Girl candidates. Perfect timing as the whole country heads to the polls… our pupils are learning about democracy in real life. 🗳️💬

Just one of the many brilliant stories from across our four schools. Read more here - fmat.co.uk/category/news/

Back to work after a lovely two week Easter break and @FairfaxSchool is looking different!

Thanks to Nadia Ferraris from Hits Radio for coming to see the new specialist provision @BournvilleSch - which is changing the lives of young people who can't attend mainstream settings. Read more - bit.ly/40T1XTT

I enjoyed this little video project to help promote our maths vacancy. My previous comms boss would have told me to keep it under a minute - but I just couldn't, too much good stuff in there!

I can't keep up!! Schools are such busy, busy places!

I've been doing a lot of internal comms since starting my new role, but it has been great to get my first bit of media coverage @birmingham_live Smith's Wood is on a journey & will keep going - but they couldn't have made these improvements any quicker birminghammail.co.uk/news/mi…

Smith’s Wood Academy has improved in all areas, following its Ofsted Inspection 🚀 No other school in the country, has seen a bigger transformation under the new framework 🙌 Leadership, behaviour & attendance all at ‘expected standard’ No areas cause any significant concern

✨One of the schools I now work with - Smith’s Wood Academy -has mentors walking the corridors to offer support to students. To mark #childrensmentalhealthweek I met some of the team @MWIMPACT - who are working to normalise these conversations particularly among teenage boys.

I was more than happy to help Keith from Birmingham Community Boxing Project pull all the partners together for this one! It's easy to forget how many genuinely lovely people there are out there who are giving up their time to support children and young people!

Are you 16+ and interested in a career in youth work? 🌟Free course on offer with @sandwellcouncil & @WestMidsVRP ❗ Starting on Jan 13th or Feb 17th at the Malthouse Stables Outdoor Centre, Hurst Lane, Tipton, DY4 9AB

This was my seat yesterday - listening to graduates doing a fantastic job delivering their knife crime campaigns for Birmingham. All wanted more positivity, genuine support for young people & less poison on socials Thanks for inviting me on the panel @BhamCityCouncil @DWPgovuk

'Let's not get overwhelmed by the negative.' - one comment that stuck with me when visiting this art project in Sandwell. 200 young people worked together on this - take a look at what they came up with 👇 Thanks for having me along @sandwellcouncil😀 #MyTomorrow

Really lovely to go along to Team Pumpkin Boxing gym again. Always such a warm and welcoming lot! Spreading the word about places like this is the best.

The most hard-hitting social media vid I've made since switching from journalism to comms..

Huge respect for Chris Clacken who treats youth mentorship as a 'lifelong' commitment 🙏 I went along to see one of the music sessions he runs, in Dudley, as part of the Community Skills and Knowledge Network (CSKN) and asked him what his job is really like #MyTomorrow

So happy to be supporting Sienna with this and bringing partners together to make this happen! #MyTomorrow

Very happy to say I am officially on the Board of Trustees for @covboysandgirls A fantastic charity & huge youth club in Coventry and home of the MAC Project. Check it out! What We Do | CBGC (covboysandgirlsclub.co.uk)
