People are surprised but he’s openly embraced other heresies like monothelitism for some time. Minor heresy leads to major heresy

I’m not the only one who has been warning about this kind of lawfare being deployed in the PCA, but these recent cases are exactly what many of us have been talking about. Consider two examples: Burke Parsons and @ZacharyGarris. I would be surprised if either suspension ultimately stands if appealed all the way through the process. But that is exactly the problem. The process is long. In the meantime, these men are suspended from office. They are sidelined from pastoral ministry. Their churches are disrupted. Their people are left without their shepherd. Even if the suspension is eventually overturned, the process itself becomes the punishment. That creates a dangerous incentive structure. Men can use the courts of the church to temporarily remove pastors over charges they likely know will not hold up under final review. The accusations are often tied to elastic applications of ninth commandment violations, claims of “harshness,” or other highly subjective standards. Take Garris. He was suspended for poking fun at Dr. Anthony Bradley by saying there are some things so complex that even a PhD cannot understand them. Frankly, that is funny. Dr. Bradley regularly invokes his credentials in ways that invite that kind of jab. To have a church lose its pastor, even temporarily, over something like that is absurd. This kind of judicial maneuvering does real damage. It chills ordinary pastoral speech. It rewards strategic accusations. It destabilizes local churches. And it sends a clear message to younger men: enter this denomination, and you may find yourself sidelined for months over charges that will eventually be overturned. If the older conservatives in the PCA do not step up and use their authority to stop this sort of procedural abuse, younger men are going to ask a very reasonable question: Why would I come into, or remain in, a denomination where the process itself can be weaponized against faithful pastors? This is not mainly about whether these particular men win on appeal. It is about whether constitutional process in the PCA will be used to secure justice or to exercise ideological control by other means. #SavethePCA

I’m gonna be honest PCA, from the outside, it looks like Pastor Garris was disciplined because he dared to be slightly sarcastic with a black professor. Because those comments from him are extremely mild. And the black professor in question has said much MUCH worse things to me. Without any PCA discipline as far as I’m aware. In fact, I believe Bradley still serves in a leadership role at Redeemer Pres, doesn’t he?

This is why I said yesterday when I was asking for apologetics material, I don’t want someone like this. Because if they don’t trust the Word, then I don’t trust them.
"There were what we might call hominids- human like creatures- we might even call them proto-humans" Apologist N.T. Wright explains that if Adam and Eve literally existed, they were likely were 'human-like' primates that lived 200,000-5 million years ago.

BREAKING: Indiana Judge Christina Klineman has issued a ruling claiming there is a religious right to kill babies in abortions. Klineman issued a permanent injunction blocking Indiana's abortion ban based on the outrageous claim. The judge blocked the ban for a certified class of people who claim killing a baby in an abortion is an exercise of their religious beliefs. Klineman ruled that the state’s 2022 abortion law violates Indiana’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act by substantially burdening the religious exercise of people who say their religion supports killing babies in abortions. Attorney General Todd Rokita will appeal the ruling to a state appeals court.

I appreciate the follow-through on this Many people predicted that the administration would do nothing and with all of the other news it would have been easy to let this quietly drop out of the cycle But they didn't, they charged them all
As of Monday, all 39 individuals indicted in the attack on Cities Church in MN had been arrested, two of them while abroad. 🇺🇸 We @CivilRights look forward to bringing justice to the victims of this attack and demonstrating our commitment to justice for all!

The emboldened Left of MN will not stop until they’ve destroyed as many children and families as they possibly can.
It’s either going to be Christ as Lord or the dude wearing women’s clothes who wants your kids to watch porn. At the logical end of all moral systems, there stands either Christ or chaos.

In 1979, when the Norwegian parliament finalized legislation allowing abortion on demand in the first trimester, Knudsen protested by refusing to perform any duties on behalf of the Norwegian state. He claimed he was modeling his actions on the Norwegian bishops' and majority of priests' opposition to the Nazi-friendly regime in Norway during the occupation in the Second World War. He continued his duties as a minister of the church and pastor for his congregation, but would not report statistics to the state, issue birth certificates or open mail addressed to him as a civil servant. Neither would he accept his salary from the state. Minister of Church and Education Einar Førde dismissed Knudsen from his post for neglecting his duties, but Knudsen refused to abandon his pastoral duties. His active congregation insisted that he was still their pastor and urged him not to leave. Knudsen was sued by the state, but won the first round. He eventually lost the case on appeal to the Supreme Court of Norway in 1983. The Supreme Court decision held that the state part of the church office could not be separated from the ecclesial or spiritual part of it within a State Church. Knudsen was replaced as parish priest in Balsfjord, but most of his active congregation followed him in establishing an independent local elect congregation in the tradition of the Norwegian Lutheran church. Two other priests, Ludvig Nessa and Per Kørner, joined him in his protest and were also terminated from their posts and defrocked. In 1987, these three started non-violent protests at abortion clinics, turning up in traditional ministerial robes and singing psalms. They also performed other public stunts such as symbolic burials of small coffins, and pouring blood over themselves outside the Norwegian parliament. This would continue until they were brought in by the police and received fines. Knudsen was jailed for three weeks in 1994 for not having paid the fines he received for protests at abortion clinics. The three established the Deanery of Strandebarm in 1991, proclaiming it the "Church of Norway in Exile". Knudsen was ordained bishop of the church on 6 April 1997 at a sermon in Kautokeino Church, after two new priests had joined the cause the same year. Knudsen was finally defrocked from the Church of Norway in 2001. He resigned as "anti-bishop" in 2008 due to failing health.

🚨HORRIFYING NEW DETAILS The invasion of Cities Church was even worse than we thought. Agitators blocked stairs so "parents were unable to get to their children" at Sunday School.😡 One told a kid, "Do you know your parents are Nazis, they're going to burn in hell?" 🧵1/7

Eleven years ago today, I helped plant Cities Church. I served as a pastor there for 8 years. This is a normal Baptist Church. They worship Jesus. They love each other. They seek the good of their neighbors. And the Left hates them and wants to shut them down, because one of their pastors serves his country in law enforcement, putting his life on the line to remove rapists and violent criminal illegal immigrants from our streets. The Democrats are the party of lawlessness, of cultural decay, social disorder, and death. It’s time for Christian boldness—for courage and clarity about Jesus and sin. And it’s time for our governing officials to fulfill their mandate and become a terror to evil conduct. They do not bear the sword in vain. That’s what our nation needs.
Shocking footage from Cities Church in Minneapolis this morning (an SBC church) where an anti-ICE mob stormed the service and disrupted their worship, alleging one of the church’s lead pastors is an ICE agent.

NEW: Don Lemon tries lecturing a pastor on the First Amendment after a mob of far leftists stormed a church in Minneapolis. Pastor: “This is unacceptable. It's shameful to interrupt a public gathering of Christians in worship…” Lemon: “Listen, there's a constitution, the First Amendment to freedom of speech and freedom to assemble and protest.” Pastor: “We're here to worship Jesus because the hope of the world is Jesus Christ…” Lemon: “But did you try to talk to them?” Pastor: “No one is willing to talk. I have to take care of my church and my family so I ask that you would also leave this building.” Imagine storming a church mid worship and thinking you are the good guys.
