As a parent of a school-aged child, I know that this is currently the practice. Calls, texts, emails, See-Saws, teachers keep parents very informed. And thatās a good thing!
So rather than promising something thatās already happening anyways, how about smaller class sizes?

If we somehow find $3/4 billion to widen a road, we can never again say āwe canāt afford itā. Homelessness, transit, active transportation, snow clearing, trees, arts, community centres, even potholes. If we donāt have money for these things, itās because we choose not to.
With contingency, widening Kenaston to cost up to $715,000,000. Imagine the social good we could achieve with almost 3/4 billion dollars. Even just staying with transportation, for the same cost we could build the full 25 year plan rapid transit network, spanning the entire city.
