I can finally share the last chapter from my time in the @burns_lab! After studying #microglia & #macrophages during #retina degeneration, we wondered: what happens later? Well, the macrophages are stunning but the immune environment isn't quite the same

I am so grateful to have met my "scientific grandfather" Denis. He had a wealth of stories, a sharp scientific mind, and a passion for mentorship - all of which still ripple through our community via his trainees. A tragic loss, but he left an incredible legacy behind.

We are thrilled to announce a major update to Spectacle: a tool for interacting with ocular #singlecell data. In this open science project, we added 1.5+ million cells from the retina, RPE, choroid, trabecular meshwork, cornea, and organoids to singlecell-eye.org. A 🧵(1/10)
