I’ve spent the last 3 months building my startup. I saw how fast @perps were growing on @solana and believed it could become a major hub for traders. So I decided to build a fully onchain perp exchange using Pinocchio. It had a critbit-tree orderbook for price discovery and matching, onchain margin, low CU oracle reads, funding, PnL, liquidation, native TP/SL, and more. It was one of the most complex systems I’ve ever built. By May 9, V1 was live with the core flows working in production. After talking with beta users, traders, and builders across the Solana ecosystem, one thing became clear: Solana doesn’t need just another perp exchange. The venue layer is already getting stronger with @PhoenixTrade, @FlashTrade, @bulktrade, @jtx_trade and others pushing the performance forward. The real gap wasn’t liquidity, It was execution and automation. Traders don’t just need another place to trade. They need a way to program how they trade. That’s why we pivoted to Kronix V2.
