80% of business owners have the majority of their wealth tied up in their business. And only 20–30% of businesses that go to market actually sell. Those eye-opening stats, highlighted in a recent @Forbes article by @KristinInvests, reveal a major vulnerability for entrepreneurs: lack of diversification. As the article explains, most business owners face a concentration risk that could threaten their long-term financial security, especially if the business doesn’t sell, or the timing of an exit isn’t ideal. This aligns closely with what I wrote in Wisdom to be Wealthy. Your business may be your greatest asset, but true wealth comes from balance: diversifying your income streams, building personal liquidity, and planning early for the next chapter. A few takeaways from McKenna’s article: 💡 Diversify around your business with outside investments 💡 Pay yourself, not just your company 💡 Build a personal financial plan separate from your business operations 💡 Treat your business like an asset, not your entire retirement strategy 💡 Start planning your exit long before you think you're ready In Wisdom to be Wealthy, I walk business owners through how to protect, preserve, and grow their wealth beyond their company, so that success today translates into freedom tomorrow. 👉 Read the full Forbes article forbes.com/sites/kristinmcke…  #TammyTrenta #WisdomToBeWealthy #Forbes #KristinMcKenna #EntrepreneurFinance #ExitPlanning #DiversificationStrategy #WealthPreservation #FinancialFreedom #BusinessOwnerWisdom #PlanWithPurpose

Seeing some really bad #tax takes this morning. This is your gentle reminder that the laws on the books today are the ones that matter. Speculation isn't law: just because you think something might happen, post-election, doesn't make it so. Be smart and confirm facts, not guts.
