Not a Russian-Ukrainian “conflict.” It’s Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. I-n-v-a-s-i-o-n Fix the basics

According to Trump, while Putin showers downtown Kyiv with ballistic missiles carrying cluster warheads, it’s not the right time to impose sanctions or even supply Ukraine with air defence interceptors already PAID FOR by Europe. What a wise and humane approach.

Russians can blow up almost anything these days — except European defence startup valuations on LinkedIn. Those only go up. The rest is in the pipeline… Time to get really serious.

In the bitter doctrinal debate - missiles vs. drones - there is, at last, an overwhelming compromise in the West: neither is available, even in basic numbers

A threshold of pain and a trigger for arrogance are two very different things. One should not confuse the two, especially when the future of Europe and the West is at stake.

Pioneers of drone warfare. Masters of the oldest fight there is. Ukrainian troops train close combat — just in case anyone forgets we do both.

The threat of NATO’s break-up, easing sanctions on Russia, a massive energy crisis in Europe, halting aid for Ukraine and blocking the loan for Kyiv by Orbán - it all looks like Putin’s dream plan.

We want to prepare drone deals for partners who are helping us, and be prepared for any challenges. A drone deal includes drones, electronic warfare systems, and, most significantly, the complete system of defense. We might not have enough “Patriots”, but we do have a system capable of integrating any defensive lines or layers. And this is the most valuable asset Ukraine possesses today: the experience of our military. If we want Ukraine to be treated at a high level, it is more than only drones; it is our specialists and our military. The combination of experienced military personnel with private and public sectors in one system is exactly what we should offer as a long-term export model—so that the private sector, the state, and our military all benefit. Today, we have started such steps with three countries. From my conversation with journalists (2/3).

There is a broad consensus among the Ukrainian public that the probability of Russia not attacking the Baltic states quite soon is very low. Especially at a moment when everyone is preparing but no one is truly prepared.

Roughly speaking, after the Iran war began and oil prices spiked, Russia’s additional daily oil revenues exceeded the amount of total annual investment in Ukraine’s entire defense-tech sector. 📷 Financial Times
