This tweet by Laura Loomer has been widely circulated and shared by the Indian right wing, who, until yesterday, were outraged by her racism and anti-India prejudice. Thank you for proving my point. Racism and anti-India bigotry are intolerable, until the target is Muslim.

Over the last several years, response times for lower-priority calls in the city have more than doubled. The cops and experts say police staffing has a lot to do with it. The latest from me and @Kirkman via @stltoday : stltoday.com/news/local/crim…

A profile package on David Hoffmann, majority shareholder of Lee Enterprises, is running in all @LeeEntNews papers this weekend. We support his goals but also support independent, editorial integrity. Please read the @Poynter story and our full statement: poynter.org/reporting-editin…

Newspapers owned by Lee Enterprises will see strikingly similar front pages this weekend, according to an email sent to the company’s properties, telling them all to run a positive three-story package on their new billionaire chairman David Hoffmann. Union leaders at the company, which publishes the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and The Buffalo News, among others, are troubled by the move, which they said raises questions about editorial interference in each paper’s decisionmaking. poynter.org/reporting-editin…

If you add in the Open Cup win over Chicago, City SC has won 3 of its past 4 games, all against MLS opponents, which can probably be considered progress. Or at least better luck. The gamer, with reaction from Damet, Lowen and Totland stltoday.com/sports/professi… via @stltoday

It has been said that J.R.R. Tolkien wanted to make a "mythology for England," but echoes of Middle-earth can be found among the monuments, mounds, and muddy rivers of the American Midwest. Excited to share my presentation from last year's Westmoot. youtube.com/watch?v=vbQohw4t…

💾 🐭💬 A Sunday #longreads rec: In 1992, a Texas small business owner tried syndicating weekly political cartoons to BBSes. His "telecomics," as he called them, are an overlooked early experiment in online comics, at a key moment in U.S. politics. breakintochat.com/blog/2026/…

Mistigram: this nifty-galifty portrait (and logo!) of the puppet #XtheOwl from #MrRogersNeighborhood was drawn by @Kirkman and placed 5th in the 2025 #ATASCII art compo of #textmode art for Atari 8-bit computers. It was also included in last month's unthemed MIST0226 artpack.

This guy has some nerve. He works for an organization that was held liable for defamation and paid $787 million for false claims about the 2020 election, and then last month he claimed on the air, without evidence, that Alex Pretti pulled a gun on the ICE agents who killed him. He might want to sit out all commentary on other media.
Amazing that a place of employment can lose $100 million annually and fired workers believe that should go on in perpetuity…
