This is what I've been up to Stanford University where I'm a @JSKstanford fellow and on leave from my job as a photojournalist @stltoday jskfellows.stanford.edu/seei…
Hundreds of people showed up at the St. Louis Science Center planetarium to watch the eclipse unfold under clear skies. Members of St. Louis Astronomical Society brought out telescopes for people to get a closer look. #stlwx stltoday.com/news/multimedia…

6/21/26 4:44 pm: Twin tornadoes pushing into Western Clay Co, IL. The strongest is pushing through Oskaloosa. One of these will become the dominant tornado, most likely the Southern once #tristatewx #ilwx
As of 5:45 none of possible "teen takeovers" in #stl has materialized. Lots of police are out making a show of their presence, cop cars with flashing lights at entrance to Forest Park & several officers on foot in area. Also cops sitting in marked cars at secondary takeover spot
Your #SLMPD is prepared and ready for the weekend. Additional Officers and our Park Rangers have been deployed in response to unauthorized teen takeover events being promoted on social media.
These gatherings are unsafe and often create dangerous conditions for participants, motorists, and our community. We encourage parents and guardians to know where their children are and help us keep everyone safe. #STL

Soil is continuing to slough off into the sinkhole near a pier supporting an elevated section of Interstate 44 in downtown St. Louis. The interstate has been shut down in both directions. Full story at @stltoday.

Interstate 70 will be closed in both directions soon to the pier supporting part of the highway can be inspected after a large sinkhole from busted water mains (plural) washed out the soil around the pier. Go to @stltoday for the story.
#SLMPD officers are working with MODOT and the Streets Department to close eastbound I-70 at Tucker until further notice due to a large sinkhole under the interstate. Eastbound I-44 will also be closed and traffic will be redirected onto the Poplar Street Bridge.
If you’re traveling westbound on the Poplar Street Bridge, you will not be able to exit at Walnut.
Please use alternate routes. We will share additional updates as soon as possible.
