Historically, you tend to see late October major lows in midterm years. Fear is spiking in major ways. Huge jumps in put volume on Friday. $SPY 3rd highest put volume ever and $QQQ 2nd most ever.

While China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea work against the West, let's pause and appreciate how beautiful our nation is. Yesterday, I hosted several recently retired U.S. military leaders, and we were lucky enough to encounter this magnificent white-tailed buck. 馃嚭馃嚫 馃挭 #Texas

The Nikkei 225 trend is up within this steep channel. What it does at (1) could be important, as a possible bearish reversal is taking place at (2)!

Everyone is trying to position for "the inevitable rebound rally." Alternative scenario: Lower until the bottom pickers puke (mid-November?), THEN a bounce. @sentimentrader
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY MIND-BLOWING: Call-option volume on the 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF, $TLT, has exploded to a record 14.9 million contracts over the last month. This is TRIPLE the levels seen in January. This signals rapidly growing bullish positioning toward long-term Treasuries, as call options give traders exposure to a potential rise in bond prices if yields fall. The bet comes after the 10-year and 30-year Treasury yields spiked to 5.33% and 5.73%, their highest levels in 24 years. Meanwhile, $TLT is down -8.5% so far in 2026 and fell -9.0% in Q3 alone. Options traders are increasingly betting that the historic rise in yields is approaching its limit. Risky bets on long-term Treasuries are skyrocketing.

Rising rates and a collapse VC funding could threaten 25% of frontier AI labs' recurring revenue. That could then trigger a sell off in the broader AI trade. @WarrenPies unpacks the bear case.
The AI trade is accelerating on record earnings, massive compute demand, and high rental rates for chips. I sat down with @WarrenPies to discuss the under-the-radar indicators he's tracking in the market right now, his favorite sectors and opportunities for the year ahead, and his latest views on the macro setup. This conversation will make you think critically about the AI trade. One of the main reasons so many breadth indicators are off the charts is because the concentration in the index is like nothing we've ever experienced. The top 5 stocks in the S&P 500 are equal to the bottom 434. (67-500)

Individual stock drawdown is something @michaeljburry wrote about recently and is a chart I've shared a couple of times as well. Despite the new 52-week high in the S&P 500, more than 75% of stocks are down double digits. and over 37% are down 20% or more.
