My favorite topic! Thank you @Ped_Neph for the opportunity to highlight a unique syndrome in a unique population! @d_m_bartlett @lurie_neph @ManneResearch
Cardiorenal syndrome (CRS) refers to dysfunction of both the heart & kidneys, & its pathology is bidirectional. Read this Review of key features of CRS & opportunities for pediatric-specific research. Free access this month.

Not sure why this isnt getting more traction- cancelling all income driven repayment plans could have a massive impact on pediatric healthcare providers. Are non-IDR payment plans compatible with pediatric salaries? @AdvocacyAspn

Excited to share the results from Aim 1 of my Thrasher grant studying cefepime in children receiving CKRT:
Our simulations suggest that extended (4h) or continuous infusions of cefepime may be beneficial for achieving 100% T>MIC, particularly with a high CKRT prescription or significant residual kidney function.
Thank you @STangGirdwood @slgold777 @ncpunt @CincyChildrens @CincyClinPharm @CincyPedNeph for the mentorship and supporting me through this project, particularly when I didn't think it was possible!

With HTN, sometimes I feel like we keep getting tech that no one asked for...cuffless devices...renal denervation...where are more chlorthalidone-based combo pills!?! Or BP cuffs for wide/conical arms? How about exam rooms/work flow that work for BP measurement! #Livinginthepast

Congrats @KidneyCal and @ChanchlaniRahul! Anyone interested in the long term outcomes of our pediatric patients should give this a read
Replying to @KidneyCal
@KidneyCal presents novel and exciting results on long-term cardiovascular outcomes of pediatric HTN using @ICESOntario data. Hypertensive cohort had twice the risk of CV outcomes in young adulthood compared to propensity matched children without HTN 1/4
