If this place was any better I would celebrate but it’s just sad now.

Seems I picked a bad time to start incorporating em dashes to my writing...

Downloading and playing some Mobile games for the first time in years has really driven home the collapse of modern indie games into the exact same dopamine sludge that mobile games started optimized for first. What the fuck is this medium now.

It used to be the thing to not smile in photos, and then to smile in photos, and now to imagine photos that never existed. Memories aren't as important as current experiences when people are trained to have shorter attention spans or value digital hierarchies.

Some days are good and make you feel like what you’re doing has meaning.

The entire insanity of our time can be summed up as: we have a technology (the state apparatus) that can be applied to fix our large-scale problems, and we are told over and over that it can't be by the very people who control that technology and use it to enrich themselves.

I guess that’s a form of connection too…
‘CYBERPUNK: EDGERUNNERS’ producer Bartosz Sztybor says he wanted to “make the whole world sad” with Season 1: "I'm from Poland. People in Poland are sad. They are born sad, they die sad, so I just wanted to make the whole world sad… when people are sad, I'm a bit happy."

Someone asked me what I thought of VR games in general in 2025 on our discord. I spent too much time writing this so figured I'd share it elsewhere. This is written off the top of my head so apologies for overbroad generalizations. Coffee-shop tier banter.

Update 9 is out on all platforms and has fixed all issues. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Latest Lost Echo has a major bug, where many parts of it break, because Unity broke adding animation events at runtime. Fix will be released soon. Apologies for the inconvenience.

This is clear enough for Unity's QA to understand the issue, right? youtube.com/watch?v=KhyN02l_…

Replying to @firtoz @unity
yeah 100%. I actually think Unity was going in a good direction when they first announced DOTS in 2018, but somehow management direction changed completely and 7 years later the engine is worse than it has even been imo xitter.cf/gdechichi/status/19361…
I wasn't on the engine team, but even if I was it wouldn't have made a difference - Unity is a big company with other priorities. most programmers on the engine team are much better than I am, they could easily write this, but if the company has other priorities there isn't much they can do about it

if you're ever sad alone silently, consider this: - i hold a copyright on being like that - you're encroaching on my intellectual property - i will send you a cease & desist - i will take you to court so please make yourself legally distinct by talking to someone about it

This was actually a test question in high school and I had a huge fight with the teacher, because I answered 99 and he said the correct answer was 100. I think I skipped his class as much as I could afterwards.
