Lmaoo! I need people to understand that people would make decisions you don’t like and as long as it has nothing to do with you, you’ll have to chin up and take it. It’s their choice to move seats, if they refuse, no sense in demonizing them. You also do not know why they have refused to move. Elevating the other person’s reasoning above the person refusing to move is wicked and entitled.
This possessiveness over seats is mean-spirited. Unless you've paid, it isn't hurting you to switch. Groups that initially picked seats together get split up after booking or simply never give you a chance to get them. Spending hours listening to tears to prove a point is weak.

They’ll escort you out and ban you from returning.
So if two people were caught having illicit sex in a church people will just look, laugh and pass? 🤔

I think Muslims need to understand something uncomfortable. Non-Muslims do not owe Muhammad their respect. They do not believe he was a prophet, and some do not even consider him a good man. You can disagree with them, but you cannot demand that they see him the way you do. Your reverence for someone does not create an obligation for the rest of the world to revere him. So, are we going to kill everyone who insults Muhammad, or are we going to learn to practise our religion in a world where not everyone shares our beliefs? Because the world is not going to become Muslim just to protect our feelings. We have two choices: learn to live with our differences or spend our lives fighting a world we cannot control. You cannot force people to love your prophet by making them afraid to criticise him. You can only teach them to fear those who claim to love him.

Reason 199999 you should relocate if you can .
One minute, you’re just a bank staff earning ₦140k/month, commuting between Iyana Ipaja and VI daily. Next minute , you have a PR in Europe, drive a nice car, a nice apartment, and the freedom to travel and afford almost anything you want, all within 2 years. Still crazy to me.

I really do think y’all are prioritizing your feelings and emotions over the long term discipline of your child. You don’t have to spank or flog your children btw. It just seems to me that any form of discipline is quickly graded as abuse or some other issue. Maybe consider that you are allowing your adult feelings and discomfort come in the way of raising your child. In the end when they head out into the world, they’ll meet people who do not care and I hope they are equipped then to handle themselves.

Long term is not the game. I sure don’t expect any parent to adopt spanking as a long term discipline plan. The options you have explained are not one size fits all, many factors determine these. Environmental, social, genetics, family etc. these things aren’t set in stone. In the end, the hope is that we all do right by them. Raise them to be good members of society and able to be the best version of themselves

I do not disagree with anything you’ve said. But you have also made my point: kids at a certain age can’t process why what they did was wrong but they sure understand consequences. How do you plan to teach a child that cannot understand why you’ve told them not to jump from the roof about regulation and why it is necessary to handle things better? Again in this scenario you are treating a child like an adult and imposing a version of how you would treat an adult on the child when they don’t even know why they can’t eat candy everyday. That’s why your mode of discipline has to change and evolve according to the age and development of the child.

Parents not doing this is how you get kids that are screaming in the supermarket and kicking televisions. This is a very good style of parenting. There are consequences for bad behavior. If you don’t teach them, life will teach them outside, either in a cell, or at the hands of someone who decides to beat the heck out of them. Train your children properly

Saw the Maraji and i kept waiting for the issue till the video ended. She even apologized, explained why she did and hugged him. If your issue is that she out it public, that i agree with, but that she flogged him? Una dey joke. Gerarahia

You have answered the question; they don’t understand these things. Children do not have the mental capacity to understand and process right and wrong, neither do they have the complexity to understand the reasoning behind being told not to do a thing. They therefore look up to adults to provide that guidance and direction. But we seem to want to speak and negotiate with children who are incapable of understanding the complexity of the topic. All they know is I want to scream because I didn’t get what I want, never mind that what they want may be negative to them. Kids however respond to consequences, they associate actions to consequences. Now depending on the kid and family factors, consequences could differ. A kid may react well to being sent to their room as a consequence while some others don’t. I can’t say I fully support spanking, but I don’t see anything necessarily wrong with the Maraji video. Even more beautiful that the kid was open to still going to Mummy and hugging and talking about getting spanked. What I can say for sure is that the takes I’ve seen here are dangerous long term for any kid. Kids are not adults and shouldn’t be treated like adults. You do a kid grave injustice if there’s no discipline at home. Funny thing is when you go out, you can tell the difference between kids who are disciplined and those who aren’t.

Lol
You beat the child, then you tell them it’s their fault and if they behaved better, you wouldn’t have beat them. Then you hug them to further assert that you have forgiven their “shortcomings.” Lol. Sound familiar? All of you are abusers
