If you think watching You Can See Everything was intense, try explaining it to someone who asks you what it’s about. Me: “Ummm…it’s a 3 hour documentary about this girl & this guy & who’s on first & an invention & then done.” #YouCanSeeEverything

This.
I’m sorry, but the math just DOESN’T work anymore. A lot of jobs are still paying somewhere between $15 and $21 an hour. Work 40 hours a week and you’re making roughly $2,600 to $3,640 a month BEFORE taxes. Now go pay $1,500+ for rent. Throw in a car payment, utilities, gas, groceries and all the other random crap that somehow costs twice what you remember it costing. And that’s before childcare. Car insurance. Health insurance. Student loans. Credit cards. An emergency. A flat tire. A trip to the doctor. Or God forbid you actually want to save some money and enjoy your life once in a while. I’ve been a financial planner for almost 20 years, so I’m obviously a HUGE believer in budgeting and living below your means. But there comes a point where telling someone making $18 an hour to “just budget better” is ridiculous. You can’t Dave Ramsey your way out of $3,500 of monthly expenses when you’re bringing home $2,600. Sometimes the problem isn’t the budget. The income simply doesn’t cover the cost of being alive anymore.

Exactly.
"You're only one medical emergency away from bankruptcy" - bitch, I'm one flat tire away from bankruptcy, wtf are you talking about?

A bit of a rant.... I left Ohio a week ago & gas was $3.59...now I'm back & it's almost $4.50. People wonder why we don't trust anything politicians tell us...because they are liars. People wonder why we don't get excited about voting...because they lie to get into office & then do none of the things they promised. I am 50 years old & have never been really excited about any Presidential candidate I've voted for...because politicians lie, line their own pockets, & really don't care about people like me & you. People wonder why I'm not a Trump fan...because he's an egotistical rich man with no clue of what it takes to actually live in the real world, on a fixed income, who regularly have to "beg Peter to pay Paul"...& add to that the question as to whether we will ever be able to trust voting again. I am begging that you give us someone who has not lived their lives with generational wealth. Give us someone who asks us to think critically & not one who tells us what to think. Give us one who has studied our Founding Fathers (the good, the bad & the ugly) & refuses to mix church & state. Give us one who, at some point in their life, had to live on ramen noodles, rely on carpooling or a bus to get to work, & had no choice but to work a job they hated for an extended period of time. Give us someone who has not spent their life as a celebrity or a politician or both. Give us someone that we don't feel like we have to begrudgingly vote for because we hate them less than the other man/woman. Also, give us someone who knows we don't believe a word of their ridiculous commercials & MAKE THEM STOP. Polls are rigged. The media is a mess. You can't fool us anymore. We are struggling. We are out of hope. We can't afford to go to a doctor & we are tired.

I just went to see a movie by myself for the first time. I saw You Can See Everything. My feedback? My brain feels like it’s just ran through a maze for 3 hours & I still don’t know the way out. 😳

I am finally flying home after spending a week in Mississippi taking care of my Mom after a surgery. She was so loopy when she booked my flight home that she put me in first class! 😂 I feel out of place in my Dolly Parton sweatshirt & carrying my Loungefly Friends backpack as my carry on…but I could get used to this! 😂🤷‍♀️ I already have to walk with a cane & use wheelchair service from check in to the gate because lupus is an unpredictable beast. Grateful that today I feel pretty good & can’t wait to see my family & sleep in my own bed! Thank you @delta for accommodating people like me who usually feel like a burden.

Why are we ranking women by their looks? Aren’t we stigmatized enough with unattainable beauty & body standards? They are all beautiful!

Facts. 😂
Being in your 50s is honestly hilarious. 😂 One friend is a grandma, another still has a 10-year-old at home. One is celebrating 25 years of marriage, while another is dating someone who’s 25. One looks like they haven’t aged since 35, and another threw their back out just by sneezing. Some are planning retirement, others are starting over after divorce. Some are becoming empty nesters, while others are still attending school meetings and making lunches. Some are booking cruises, others are discovering dating apps for the first time. Half of us are saying, “Life is just getting started!” while the other half need three business days to recover from sleeping in the wrong position. We’re all the same age, yet somehow living completely different lives. 😂 Nobody warned us that our 50s would look this chaotic, unpredictable, and entertaining. Honestly, we deserve a group discount on therapy, multivitamins, and heating pads. 😭

Sorry Matt Walsh, but unless you can give birth you don’t get an opinion. Mothers feel guilty enough about PPD without you inserting this ridiculous narrative.
Matt Walsh says postpartum depression is often about selfishness. I think he badly misses what's happening to mothers. Walsh has been one of the loudest voices on the Lindsay Clancy case. His argument is that "temporary insanity" is a myth, it can never be proven, and anyone could claim it. He has a point about one thing. There's no lab test that proves someone was psychotic months ago. But that's not how trials work. Jurors weigh everything. Was there a motive? A history of violence or drug use? What do the people who knew her best say? What does the medical record show? In Clancy's case, the record shows her deteriorating as more medications were added, with an antidepressant dose doubled the day before. No affair, no money motive. Her husband and mother-in-law stand by her. You can't fake that kind of paper trail. And psychosis from postpartum or from a drug reaction is different from a chronic illness. When the drug is gone, the risk can be gone too. Walsh also argued that much postpartum depression comes from babies forcing parents to put their own needs aside, and that the more selfish you are, the harder it hits. I see it differently. Women in the US take far more psychiatric medications than men. About 1 in 5 women are on antidepressants. Why? Many moms raise kids far from family and friends. In about 70% of families, both parents work. Society celebrates youth, beauty, wealth and career, and stopped celebrating mothers. That's not selfishness. That's isolation. Add severe sleep deprivation, a hormonal roller coaster, and 20-minute Zoom visits that end in another prescription. Since my first Clancy video, I've had patients email me about the frightening thoughts they had on medications after giving birth. Those thoughts are more common than people admit. Acting on them is rare. We need to prepare women for motherhood, involve their families, and stop treating this with pills alone. If you're struggling, call or text 988 (US) or your local crisis line. Comment TAPER and I'll send you my free safe tapering guide.

Taylor said, “It has been an incredible journey over the last couple of years. We’re having to seek the Lord. Where do we go first?…The heartbeat of who we are has not changed.” WHO HAVE THESE LAST 3 YEARS BEEN AN “INCREDIBLE JOURNEY” FOR? Certainly not the victims of IHOPKC
Sorry IHOPKC, moving the prayer room and using new fonts on your website still aren’t the answers most people are looking for. roysreport.com/ihopkc-reloca…

The turn this would have taken if she had posted that she drove all the way to Brooklyn for Molly. 😳🤷‍♀️

My Dad used to tell me, “To whom much is given, much is required.” If you’ve been given a large platform, be very careful how you use it. If you have millions of eyes on you at all times, you can sway that audience easily with just one post. Just like fire can both burn you and warm you, the same can be said about our voices. You can use it to lift up or break down. These days a few words said on social media by a highly influential person can literally ruin someone’s life. Before we know it, the world has chosen a side & no one really knows the truth. I’m sure Kelly & the store will work things out & laugh about this down the road, but it’s a good test to see if any of us still have critical thinking skills & a good reminder to choose our words & any accusations carefully. Thanks for coming to my Molly Talk. #SaveMolly
