Caller: “I’m 26, about to get engaged, but my net worth is way higher than my girlfriend’s. Do I need a prenup?” Dave Ramsey: “Okay, what does ‘different net worth’ actually mean?” Caller: “$50K from my grandparents for a house, $50K in my truck, $165K across my 401K and accounts, $150K left in a college fund
She’s finishing PA school with about $120K in debt.” Dave Ramsey: “And what are you making a year?” Caller: “About $120k/yr.” Dave Ramsey: “You’ve got around $600K to your name at 26
honestly? That’s not enough net worth to warrant a prenup. If you’re comfortable, skip it.” $600K net worth at 26. FiancĂ©e in PA school with debt. Dave says skip the prenup

SORRY IF THIS OFFENDS FOOD TRUCK OWNERS, BUT FOOD TRUCKS NEED TO BE CHEAPER THAN RESTAURANTS AGAIN. I’m not paying $22 for tacos to eat standing next to a parking lot. How are they charging restaurant prices without a restaurant? I can’t be the only one that’s noticed how crazy food truck prices have become recently.

I’m starting to think the whole “BUY USED TO SAVE MONEY” advice is outdated. A new Toyota Sienna costs around $58K . A 3 year old one still costs $48K–$52K. I’m saving just $6K–$10K upfront, potentially paying a higher interest rate, and getting less warranty coverage. Then one major repair could eat into those savings even more. I understand that new cars depreciate, but when used cars cost this much, where’s the financial advantage? Am I missing something, or has buying used stopped being the no brainer everyone says it is?

SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT
If i miss one credit card payment, that follows me for 7 years and tanks my ability to get an apartment. But if a bank gets caught laundering money for actual criminals, they pay a fine that’s less than a rounding error on their quarterly earning and keep operating like nothing happened? ONCE AGAIN, consequences are only for people who can’t afford to buy their way out of them. I’M SO SICK OF THE HYPOCRISY.

BUYING A HOUSE RIGHT NOW IS FCKING MENTAL What do you mean i can borrow $400k at 8%, pay almost $3k every month for 10 YEARS, hand the bank roughly $352k, and STILL owe around $351k . AND that’s before we even talk about taxes, insurance, maintenance, or repairs. WILD.

Jamie Lee Curtis reveals she secretly battled addiction for over 10 years while her career was thriving. “I was in a good, stable marriage, writing bestselling children’s books, and getting more fame and attention.” “I got more as my addiction got worse, not less.” “Not one person knew.” Curtis explained how outward success made it easier to hide her addiction, even as she felt trapped by it. “ If you are asking yourself, ‘Can I stop this?’ then you’re in a prison of your own mind.”

BOOMERS: “I worked one job for 40 years, bought a house for $47K, had a pension, and retired.” GEN X: “We survived multiple recessions and somehow became the forgotten generation.” MILLENNIALS: “We have 3 jobs, 5 side hustles, $80K in student loans, and Zillow open like it’s a second job.” GEN Z: “You want 40 hours a week, 5 days in an office, AND a commute? For what?” Every generation got a different economic deal. And somehow the older generations keep asking: “WHY DON’T YOUNG PEOPLE WANT TO WORK?” Maybe because the deal changed.

IS “BUY USED TO SAVE MONEY” STARTING TO MAKE LESS SENSE? Everyone says buying used is the smart financial move. So I ran the numbers. A new Toyota Sienna: roughly $58K . A 3-year-old Sienna: $48K–$52K. You might save $6K–$10K upfront. But then you potentially give up part of the warranty, face a higher used-car interest rate, and take on more repair risk. So where exactly is the huge savings? If a nearly new car costs almost as much as a brand-new one, “just buy used” starts sounding more like financial advice from a different era. Maybe the real trick isn’t buying used. Maybe it’s buying used at the right price.
