There’s nothing quite like the sights and sounds of Cass Scenic Railroad State Park.
With its historic steam locomotives, mountain views and the new Slabtown Campground now open year-round, Cass offers another great way to experience Wild and Wonderful West Virginia.
It’s easy to see why West Virginia was just rated the second most beautiful state in America (though we should be #1!).

Dolly Parton has inspired generations of young readers, and West Virginia is going to help celebrate her legacy.
Starting October 1, K-5 students can join our Dolly Days Read-a-Thon and read 25 books by the end of the year.
A fitting way to honor Dolly and inspire our next generation of readers.

Today, we had such a terrific announcement. I named Kayla Kessinger as the Secretary of Tourism.
Kayla will be an outstanding ambassador for our state. She will build on the great success of our state’s tourism industry and help West Virginia reach incredible new heights.
She is relying upon a very positive foundation of our whole Tourism team, but is now in a place to tell West Virginia’s unique story to the world. Such an amazing West Virginia talent!

Congratulations to my good friend, @KaylaKessinger, on this appointment! Kayla comes from a long line of coal miners and moonshiners - there’s no one better to tell our state’s story. I’m excited to see everything she will accomplish in this role.

Chemical abortion kills children and harms mothers.
Today's announcement is a travesty and I urge @SecKennedy and @DrMakaryFDA to reverse course immediately.

Loving your enemy is not appeasement.
It is not tolerance.
It is not disordered empathy.
To love your enemy means to desire what is good for them - and what is good for the unjust soul is justice.
