One of the fucked-up things my abusive ex-husband said or did to me: I made the unfortunate mistake of opening up to him about my trauma and told him how my previous ex raped me. But instead of comforting me or saying anything decent, he literally blamed me for being raped and told me it was my fault. Then, when I got very reasonably upset about that he tried to quickly backtrack and walk it back and then gaslight me, saying he didn’t just say that. #domesticviolenceawareness

Another time, he was standing over me while I was changing our daughter, and he didn’t like how I didn’t wipe her after she had a pee-filled diaper, but instead of correcting me in a normal way, like maybe talking to me about it, he instead took the pissy diaper and FORCEFULLY smeared it all over me. But according to him, he’s not abusive and a good man, and I’m just crazy and overreacting.
