New Mexico should immediately change its name to New America. We are not Mexico, we are the United States of America! The name would add great value and prestige to the State! Home Values and Incomes would rise, and you would be even prouder while saluting our beautiful American Flag! Maybe even the Crooked Elections, that New Mexico is known for, would become honest again!

Medwine went head-to-head with another bull rhino and came off worse. Territorial fights are a normal part of rhino life, but the wound to his head needed attention – enter our SWT/KWS Mara Mobile Vet Unit.
KWS vet Dr Aminga darted him and, with support from Partakilat Conservancy staff, the team eased him into position for treatment. The wound was deep but had caused no lasting damage and was soon tended to. Medwine ambled off to a nearby salt lick, battle-scarred but none the worse for wear.

Elephants put the ‘happy’ in reunion. Wild herds erupt into joyous trumpets and trunk hugs when a long-absent loved one returns, and our orphans do the same. When Keeper Joseph came back from leave, Kaikai and Bungalu were beyond elated, greeting him with rumbles and trunk hugs.

This is so perfect. Honestly, I thought "Tommy" was a plant by the way he walked off at the end. Abdul El-Sayed just looks too good here.
But after looking it up, I learned he was a former Josh Hawley staffer.
This is the most inspiring performance by an American politician that I can remember seeing.
El-Sayed was faced with a bigoted question. He didn't hide from it or pander. He broke down why it was a bigoted question, and gave a stirring defense of American principles and the Constitution.
At the end, his interlocutor wouldn't condemn Christian Nationalism! El-Sayed has a perfect response to this, and "everybody clapped."
A lot of us have had this experience of arguing with right-wingers, questioning them, and then finding out that they have no principles, they're just bigots. A Hawley staffer will talk about the US Constitution and freedom of religion to attack a Muslim politician, and sing a completely different tune when it comes to Christian fundamentalists.
Again, the "everybody clapped" nature of this, followed by Tommy walking off in shame, made me think that he was a plant.
But no. This was a real-life rightoid, getting exposed as the hateful, hypocritical bigot that he is in front of the entire world.
Abdul El-Sayed's rise in American politics has made me a lot more optimistic about our future.

Grace Dietrich has 2 degrees, one of them is in sports science and athletic medical training. She is a fellow at Duke university working as medical staff.
She’s not a student or an assistant.
This guy’s reaction tells you this is probably a student assistant who is a game-day water girl and not actually on the medical staff. He looks at her first before swatting her arm away. Likely why she backed off immediately.
That said, this guy is wrong here. He’s doing no one any good. At least the water girl could provide water. He’s just taking up space and should step back at least a couple of feet so the people who are actually useful in this moment have space to help.

For the record, if I was a coach and a player ever swatted at and struck ANY medical personnel, let alone a woman, and then made it a point to further obstruct medical efforts, I'd immediately dismiss him.
