😬 "l made the argument that Democrats should pick a candidate at the convention this year. ... it is not clear, to me, at least, that [Biden] is capable of running successfully for president." - @ezraklein

IT WAS MINIMAL, the study says, looking into the mirror and holding back tears
Mental-health crisis from pandemic was minimal, study suggests bbc.in/3ZA0EHd
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
From the article & authors of study- “The review did not look at lower-income countries, or specifically focus on children, young people & those with existing problems, the groups most likely affected, experts say, and risks hiding important effects among disadvantaged groups.“

replace "engineering" with "data team" and replace "sales" with "literally every team in the company", and you have a neat story about why so many people burn out of data jobs
Real story from a startup: A sales group kept going to engineering to ask for stuff to be built. Engineering didn't do any of it, because the impact of this work was much lower than other stuff on their plate. So this sales group hired their own engineers. (1/3)

"it has become harder and harder for workers to ignore the terrifying world and do our little Zooms ... Yet it is more and more urgent to corporations that we close our eyes in the service of productivity, hitting quotas and yielding profits" -- @rebackermann 🔥🔥🔥
Props to @Zulkey, @rebackermann, and the Evil Witches Substack for the best headline in recent memory, "NFTs are like Beanie Babies, the blockchain is like a Google Doc, and you are not dumb." bit.ly/34iTxLW

It feels like the entire internet is ready to root for Ukraine like we’ve all been waiting for something more concrete to root for in place a of “a return to normalcy” or “the pandemic becomes endemic” which isn’t to diminish covid: just that it’s abstract relative to ukraine

I have been talking to friends and associates about crypto and "web3" a lot. These are mostly technical people with lots of experience. So we're in a place to understand the tech and see how people are being misled.

When browned on the bottom of the pot by a skilled cook, rice is transformed into a complex delicacy, one prized by food cultures around the world. Here’s why that’s bad news for Joe Biden.

did a cubicle write this
A silent majority of American workers do want to get back to the office, at least for a few days a week. As coronavirus cases rise and companies keep workplaces closed, these frustrated employees can’t wait to return to their cubicles. nyti.ms/3mOKdGa
