New (academic) Year Resolutions…
1. Take lunch at least 3 days a week
2. Walk at least 10,000 steps a day
3. Use a notebook - rather than random scraps of paper which end up messed up in my bag!!

One of my favourite days 🎭 @RoyalDerngate @CastleNewnham
Thank you @RoyalDerngate! A CNS tradition that everyone looks forward too!
Taking a whole school/phase to a theatre started as a crazy idea with @KatEdwardsHT and I a few years back and it keeps getting better each year! This year being joined by Reception & Year 7! 715 people!!
This is excellent news! The timing is unfortunate (mild word choice) as providers have designed training programmes and many mentors are mid-way through however the actually mentoring that can take place in these 20 hours will be far more beneficial 🙌🏼
Exclusive: The government has scrapped an 'excessive' requirement that mentors of trainee teachers undertake 20-hours of training with 'immediate effect', following complaints from school leaders

I know which way I’m voting 💪🏼❤️ @YasinForBedford #GeneralElection2024
After 6 years @castlenewnham this is the first Year 11 year group who I knew from Primary. I have fond memories of them and they will always hold a special place in my heart. Now go and be amazing 💪🏼
Class of 2024 @CastleNewnham. For many 12yrs with us, for some their secondary journey of 5yrs. What a privilege to have known you all. Your kindness, determination & spirit will live on. The applause as you left was electric from the rest of the school site. Please remember to…
Great morning @BedsSchTrust meeting some of the Principals within the trust and hearing key messages from members of the central team ahead of joining in September 💙💛💚
We were also delighted to welcome to the Executive @CastleNewnham leaders as the school prepares to officially join BEST.
@KatEdwardsHoS and @levesley_sara - Primary and Secondary Heads of School - made sure to check their place in our wall art story with our CEO @BedsSchsTrust
Embarrassing behaviour. Grown men (and no doubt a few women) who should know better. I love football, particularly International tournaments, but find this truly abhorrent and pathetic. I’m pretty certain the England squad would rather they weren’t there also…
Gutted to have missed this one as I was at my NPQH day with @bestpracticenet Incredibly proud of all the pupils both young and old @CastleNewnham 🙌🏼 And of course the staff who have worked hard to put this event together!
Another great morning at the KS1 Sports Day with Y6 pupils continuing to lead the activities and Y10 pupils serving homemade refreshments @CastleNewnham @CN_Cooking @CN_Year1 @CN_Year2
